Wow, NOBODY gets across the romance & excitement & reverence and plain-old love of those times, and the guys who drove, and why they MATTER, like Ficarra. Thanks, John.

    Thanks John
I’ve had Parkinson’s since I was in my early 20’s and in my mid 40’s now
That group does amazing work and what a great car.
Out of all the car guys on here, I know that I can always trust what you say about cars as you have the drive and passion. Keep up the great work
And know I’m not letting this disease stop me as I’m building a lotus replica in the garage with my kid.

Thanks John, what a great story about the Jaguar XK-120C and Phil Hill, and thanks Kelly Telfer for donating a masterpiece to a totally worthy cause!

Great video! I was born in 1955 and my Dad and I watched a lot of racing (I guess it was Wide world of Sports). Phi Hill, Dan Gurney, Fangio, Stirling Moss were my boyhood heroes. As a Canadian, I especially loved the American drivers as they just seemed so much closer to home. Phil Hill and Dan Gurney were my two favourites
    Cheers and Thanks!

I met Phil at Laguna Seca the first year Jaguar was the featured car at the Monterey Historic races, back in the 1970s. At that venue he drove the Briggs Cunningham Jaguar D-Type.
Spoke to both Phil and Briggs. The memory of a lifetime.
