Hi - I don't think you mention anywhere if having the res delete kit fitted invalidates the standard VW warranty in any way, or passing the MOT when that comes around?
Adding the res delete will invalidate the warranty on the exhaust system only. Only the cat delete will effect the MOT
I am in Southampton if that helps and it's also a 7.5 R
Bought the same kit from Vagsport for my Audi S3 FL and it’s so good... no cabin drone either and some many pops and bangs, gets better over time as well

Hi mate, love the videos I have been watching sense you got the golf r, I have just brought my golf r today and was wondering with the resonator delete, does it void your warranty and make you fail the MOT?
what do you have done to the R to get it to make pops? my MK7R doesn't make any damn noise, and it makes me so sad.
How have you found the re delete ? any droning at speed ? i heard some res deletes sound horrible and drone at 70 - 80mph .

Does this affect the emissions of the car? Is this the OPF device?
I did the res. Delete also. I was a little disappointed at first, but then it seems to have gotten throatier as time passed. Still, it’s not a huge difference, IMO. For the price, I would do it again.
Is the exhaust system stock apart from the resonator delete?
Definitely sounda better as it now sounds like it does when an Akrapovich cat back exhaust is fitted.

Why would you delete a resonator? I thought a resonator eliminates unwanted sound frequencies such as drone but does not reduce volume or increase backpressure like a muffler??
Thanks for the video. I have been told that resonator deletes aren't good for the car/engine in the long-run, as it messes with the car sensors and the exhaust fumes coming from the engine... is this true? I was keen on getting one installed before I was told this!
Will N completely false there are no sensors after the resonator thus it will make no difference

Please note, this kit is not suitable for 2019+ R’s with a PPF/GPF emissions system fitted (There is no central resonator to delete!) This is VAGSports quote. I have a 2019 with the PPF does that mean Mines is muffles by the PPF and even though it doesn't have a resonator it's still quiet as is it has a res and theres nothing i can do about it unless i remove the PPF which i have to replace every MOT inspection?
Have you had any issues since any lights on dash etc ??

Would have been really interesting doing a dyno before and after the res delete, most people say they don't make any difference to power but I don't know of anyone who has actually tested it.
Absolutely zero power increase with a resi delete.

How are you getting those pops on a stock exhaust?! I have an MK7, DSG transmission and it sounds NOWHERE near your car

How do you find it when driving at a constant on the motorway? Heard that non-resonated can be a bit like a constant drone.

have you a problem with your seat memory in golf r? In my case i’ve set the lower position and then when I restart my car, the position changes ... its very anoting I thing that is a design problem... share your case

Kohan Rebeiro I always use the same key. I want to know if it’s a problem with my car or all golf r. I also tried with the 3 available memories ans the problem is the same
Are you saving the seat setting when you set the position? So press set then a number. Your issue doesn't happen in my r
Kohan Rebeiro yes, i do the same that is in the manual. I dont have problems with other positions... the only position with problems with memory is the lowest, so when I restart the car the seat lift up a little. Tell me if you try to set your seat in the lower position.

Did this on my mk6 TSI. Best mod, cheapest exhaust upgrade you can do, sounds really good but not too loud, and easy to fit back the resonator if need be or selling the car!

How about resenator delete and muffler delete plus downpipe? More horsepower?

Why didn't u not just get a non resonated catback? I got a miltek one on my 2.0 tsi Scirocco. Yes its obviously more expensive then a simpel resonater delete but it will turns head and for sure in a golf R. You still have an untouched oem catback if needed
Simple answer is it's more expensive. Eventually I'll do a full exhaust, but for the time being I thought I'd do a res delete as it's so cheap

I really don’t notice a that much of a difference, plus I drive a Manual mk7 R so I won’t get the pops and crackles. I’d definitely recommend the Stage 1 remap for any MK7 R owners out there, I’m running 361.5bhp and 537lb-ft torque!

I’ve just purchased this res delete on the strength of this video only to find once I jacked my car up to fit it my 2019 golf r doesn’t have one, so if you have a brand new golf r please check first as VW don’t fit a resonator any more.
That's because they fitted an OPF instead... which also acts as sound muffler.

@@xBigModzHD I'd rather get work done locally at a reputable garage than travel, £90 does seem steep for fitting as I've used Regal recently and their hourly rate was a lot less. I had a full service and belt changes on my Corsa there, charged less than a dealer and another garage I used in the past. No point driving a few hours for the sake of saving a few tenners.
Paul Jacobs there most likely isn’t only one reputable garage in your area there is probably a few, most garages charge 30-35 hourly rate so anything under an hour shouldn’t be more than £40

The 7.5R has the pops and bangs from standard. Is yours a 7R or 7.5R?
American R? Euro R's are known to pop & crackle from the factory. Mapping differences. Also, MPI fueling on top of DI in EU. North American R's are known to not be inherently crackly.

Not as far as I'm aware. I think the most it would void is the exhaust warranty, but the overall warranty is safe. Hope this helps :)
Voids the warranty and causes a terrible drone inside the cabin. Sounds good fo about 2 seconds, then starts to get on your nerves. the most stupid mod you can do on a car!

Seen this question pop up few times on forums, avoids exhaust warranty so main one still intact. Doesn't cause drone just amplifies the pops and bangs when in sport mode

+1 for the drone video. More in depth please! I am on the fence with the VAGSport RES Delete or the BCS Res Delete. Apparently the latter has a Helmholtz resonated section (but I'm no expert). I've always thought the car was a bit too quiet so well up for the RES Delete, just don't want the drone as I do a lot of motorway driving. Another great video as always.
@@hughjohnson2926 I have the Vagsport fitted on mine and it only starts to drone when you hit about 85 mph, that's on a pre-face lift version. It will start to drone at a slightly higher speed on the newer face lift version due to having 7 gears.
