Awesome development, Alex. Yes, using a small speaker as a microphone and laying it against the top of a cymbal produces an interesting sound. Then, just tap the cymbal lightly with your finger to open up a whole world of harmonics. You've gone a long way to capture that sound. Not all dad-bands use splash cymbals. OK, yes, they all do ;)
Really great modelling, cymbal is usually the hardest to synthesize and your cymbals sound excellent! I'd say this and the clap are both on a level i never heard before, maybe the snare too.
such versatile modules you guys make, "perc module" or "cymbal module" sounds pretty self explanatory on the surface but you guys always find a way to make it way more interesting, awesome work and love the new panels
Thank you for having the vision to turn it into an effects unit too! I am looking forward to adding this to my small sound design rack. While you are at it, can you also please make a module that simulates the inside of a piano? Like the pianoverb VST from the last decade. :)
Hey Alex, great demo. I’m not regretting pre-ordering Crucible in the least. Question: have you found a way to get a gong out of Crucible, maybe with the help of the external input?
After hearing Kraken and now Crucible I am so, so hoping WMD will develop a HiHat module as a worthy follow up of my TipTop 909 Hats. These modules have so much natural character and everything on board I've been looking for in drum modules. Pretty please? Fingers crossed...
most companies now do both, there's a silver one in this vid czcams.com/video/99fEbjaJHgw/video.html personally i prefer black panels (but I'm a HUGE Erica Synths fanboy :)
Its a subtle change that lives in the decay sound. If you have a long decay you should hear a bit more sizzle as it rings out with the second model. thanks!
please make a hi hat module! i have crater, fracture, crucible and... tip top 909 hats (womp womp). Yall would make a killer hat module im sure. Any chance?
We're not quite to the "classic" hihat sound. Chimera is good for up beat "chk" sounds and Crucible can do some fun hats if you put noise or something like that into the pitch input. As far as a classic hat sound though, that is something that will have to be purpose built.
RX8, Mouth De-Click, Sensitivity: 11.0, Frequency Skew: 60%, Click Widening: 0. Honestly if you send me the audio I’ll do it for free. Anyone with misophonia can’t really watch this.
I think this is the best cymbal physical model I’ve ever heard, and I’ve heard them all.
WMD Percussion Module's are the best Percussion Module's I have ever heard.... Finest Sound's
This module is ab-so-lutely GENIUS.
The modeling is so impressive.
Sounds like a sample. I have to get this thing. So versatile
Sounds alot better than a sample imho, because its more dynamic.

oh man I can't afford to see this video but I watched the whole thing. The external input is amazing
“for you noise musicians out there” whooooo meeeee?!?! yea i’m gonna buy this most definitely

heck yeah, thanks!
This module Is on a hole other level . It sound F-in' amazing . I NEEED THAT SHITTT!!!!
Fucking WOW! I'm blown away by how organic this sounds. And then the odd experimental sounds are just as great. Love it. WILL BE MINE.

Man, this is one fine module! Great work, again, WMD!
love a module that lashes out at me
I am impressed by WMD modules so far: crater and fracture are superb! Now I want chimera and crucible to complete the collection.
Just ordered ! Great module, really good demos !!

Martin Doudoroff the experimental mode get quite gong like. I’ve had some luck running Fracture through the input for some really interesting washes.

Dying to put this in my rack
I miss a reverse cymbal function!
i hope there's a silver version too. I know black front panels is the new hip thing, but this is getting out of control.

Hi Alex, is there any chance Crucible will be available again in the future? Kraken, Chimera, and Craters are available. Why not Crucible? Thanks!
Working on it, once the Hi-Hat (CLVTCH) is done, we'll be able to reissue the other drums. Thanks!
@@WMDevices Thanks! Looking forward! ;)
the difference between model 1 and 2 seem very hardly noticeable in mine ... i was wondering if its actually working as it should.

Which of your modules would you suggest for classic hi hat sounds??

@@WMDevices my WMD percussion modules need a hihat brother
