    How are the two batteries balanced in voltage if you're always charging them in series?

    I got everything but my question is do i need to change original 12v receiver or motor driver when converting to 24 volt?

    Did this unit come with the metal frame? I want to modify my jeep so i (175#) can ride it with my kid(s) without bending or breaking it.
    Most of the mods out there are either pretty basic, like a battery upgrade. Or a full build with all steel and gas motor. My plans are in the middle and havemt found a lot

    for those not electronically savvy, can you explain why the red/white lead is going into the negative side of the battery on the 6:40 mark?

    • @mltoys9644
      @mltoys9644  Před 5 lety +3

      To tie 2 batteries together in series you run the positive of one to the negative of the other. We do this in the harness so as not to cause confusion or alarm when plugging it in.

    I’m not worried about the car going faster. Planning to wire the batteries in parallel just so the kids can go a little longer before the thing dies.

    How hard is it to do an AWD conversion? My nephew wants to do AWD powerslides.

      It takes customer fabricating skills to pull it off. Rarely done auccesfully.

    So basically your saying the car is slow without the kit? I got my son the same one and it goes really slow. Did anyone else have this issue ?

    • @mltoys9644
      @mltoys9644  Před 3 lety +2

      Slow is relative. Power Wheels rates it at 2.5mph in low speed and 5mph when you take the high speed lockout screw out. (That's slow in our books)

    • @David-jv4fw
      @David-jv4fw Před 3 lety

      There might be a screw towards the bottom of the shifter. If your vehicle has it, not hard to miss, remove it and put the shifter in the forward most position. That is the high or fast setting. You should have a notable change in speed.

    I have a dune racer and I saw your 18v kit you sell, I read that some trimming on the fins is necasary To make it fit which is no big deal so my question is the 18v kit will fit in the back where the original is and just plug in right??

    You mentioned blowing fuses if wired incorrectly/poorly. Where was your fuse installed?

    • @mltoys9644
      @mltoys9644  Před 4 lety +1

      It's not about the location of the fuse holder. That can go anywhere between the batteries and gas pedal.

      @codyMalonebasshead Před 3 lety

      I agree fusing should be done with in 4/8inch of any battery any more u definitely no use for fuse when goes wrong also he said 24 volt but qored in parallel so its still 12 volts
