I actually tried Sableye this season a few days ago. Did very well but then I got stuck in +1400, there is a clear and constant team gap now so I should wait until top 10000 moves even higher for matchmaking to be fairer. I tried leftovers instead of score shield, I was having a little fun.

THANK GOD! I love Leftovers on Sableye. It's the only mon who benefits from it, but I have people turn on their mics and tell me to change it. By the time you're level 8, it heals 250+ per tick and by the time you rotate lanes, you're already at full health.
Playing solo Sableye last season got me to masters.
Man that's so nasty and skillful at the same time Lmao.

Remember that Sableye is significantly LESS cringe when it comes to comfey for the sole reason that Sableye can’t make someone near invincible

Chris has great general macro sense which works wonders for playing this mon despite not having specific mon knowledge on sableye but boy i wish he didn't recommend leftovers on him. TLDR leftovers is not worth its spot on Sableye over other items use another item if you want to have more health instead.
Long essay on why Leftovers is bad: Lefties heals 4%max hp a second when out of combat, which takes 5 seconds to trigger, to heal 40% of you health which is around where you'd be looking to heal you need a full 15 seconds to heal to full from just 60% health. In that same time Sableye can literally channel a return home, heal 75% and be back halfway across the map (somewhere in the middle of ray pit the last time I tested assuming u have float stone) and this is without using a jumppad and just walking out manually. You cover even more distance with the jumppad.
Now while Sableye does get value from being on the map being mobile vision and not returning home and rarely should anyway, this was just to show how slowly it really heals you. Prior to outer pads being down sableye can literally just walk behind the enemies pad and steal their berries due to being invisible to heal even through the slow zone while getting good info on their positions at the same time and if their berries are not there u can rotate to the other lane to check for theirs. Remember if u had lefties u aren't healing if in combat and need 5 additional seconds every time u have to reactivate it so this time spent not engaging is not really wasted in comparison.
If the outers are down/no berries are available it's quite easy to do multiple micro scores to heal 10% health each time and additionally u likely waste someone's time as they try to stop u scoring thus pulling them away from whatever else they should be doing.
There's so much more I can say on why leftovers despite being better on sableye than any other mon is still an awful item but this is already long enough.
Edit: double checked the healing numbers on a full return to base and running back. Previously mistakenly said he could heal to full from 10% remaining
Hi! Fellow Sableye enjoyer here. Thanks for your explanation on Leftovers. Would you mind sharing which item would you recommend instead? I'm currently using Float Stone, EXP Share and Attack Weight, but I'm considering ditching the latter since Sableye's damage output is so unimpressive. I feel like his contribution is more on disruption, so maybe Curse Bangle? Thanks in advance!
@@renatofurquimvry my personal preference is xp share float and score shield with goal getter for maximum flexibility to be a scoring menace and win games where u dont take ray but i fully admit there are games score shield does nothing at all so any 3rd item like:
weight - scores key kills on squishies in a certain time frame
bangle - what i use when i don't play score shield usually with a duo zacian or something as anti heal is just generally useful
health items - resonant guard, cookie, focus band. personally i think if u are trying to live on this mon you are playing it incorrectly. you're job is to bait out damage away from the rest of your team(see how often chris gets ults wasted on him and the team cleans up fights) and provide key CC on a priority target which u can always do due to being invisible and can choose to reveal yourself only in a good position.

@@shivdmanwii Thanks for replying! Also I fully agree with your "trying to live" take. I've taken many unnecessary ults from pissed off attackers while playing as Sableye and it 100% contributed to my team getting objetives and rayquaza. It's very funny! :)

I think Sableye is a very underestimated character. What I usually run is a max speed build with 7 yellow (squeeze some white and brown in if possible) with Exp. Share, Float Stone, and Charging Charm and Eject. I never pick Knock Off, I always go Shadow Sneak. The 2nd move depends on the enemy team but with all the auto attackers lately Confuse Ray is usually safe.

To help with stream sniping, cancel the matchmaking a random number of times before letting the timer pick up a match.. its not a guarantee but will at least make it more difficult

leftovers is the way to go. math tells you it takes just as long to go to base and back than go to enemy base and score and comeback full hp with lefties
Except one of those options doesn't require one of your three item slots, and assumes the enemies will let you score
For sure, no risk no reward though.

A lot of people don't know how sabeleye ult works unfortunately. Any time I've tried to play him and ult players my team almost always messes it up by damaging them

I recommend leftovers. If you use it and shadow sneak, then you have never ending fun.
It's good for scoring. But you loose stuns for team fights. You would almost always die if you try to help in team fight with shadow sneak. The most you would be able to do is KO low HP targets.
Sableye is one of the few mons in the game that both is incredibly annoying to play against, has a high skill ceiling to CC people without dying immediately, but also VERY reliant on your team to do something.
