2013 Musial Awards - Kirsten Moore & Westmont College

The Musial Awards™ are a one-of-a-kind event honoring the legacy of Stan Musial by celebrating the greatest moments and stories of sportsmanship from around the nation. Formerly the National Sportsmanship Awards, the event is now named for the late Cardinals Hall of Famer and beloved St. Louis sports icon.
Defined by class, excellence, humility and generosity, Stan the Man embodied the virtues of sportsmanship. So it's fitting that the most meaningful and inspiring night in sports now bears his name.
The 2013 Musial Awards took place on November 9 at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis. The awards show spotlighted seven remarkable stories of sportsmanship plus the 2013 St. Louis Cardinals, who received the inaugural Musial Award for Extraordinary Character.
The 2013 Musial Awards will air as a primetime one-hour television special on KSDK-TV NewsChannel 5 on Friday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m. An encore presentation will air on Christmas Day at 10 a.m. Last year's show won two Mid-America Emmy Awards for best sports special and best sports news feature.
