7:23 the 1991 ogs actually had 3M in the first place, a few retros like the 2000+ and 2010 did not included 3m until 2014 retro and 2019.
As a big anime fan, favorite has gotta be the Slam Dunk 6's. Such a clean colorway even if you don't notice the actual design on it. Super rare, but when you see em you know.

That's a good trade. I love both of those! Carmines are better though not gonna lie
3:39 I heard of the Varsity red (upper right corner) referred to as "white infrared" too. I also love this colorway because it's the shoe that he wore when he did this spectacular triple pump layup against the New Jersey Nets in 1991. This layup (in my opinion) was much more spectacular than the switch hands layup he did in game 2 of the 91 finals against the Lakers.
They're two different shoes, buddy.
The OG was the white infrared.

owning a couple pairs of 5's made me realize how much i like 4s better, and i think the same is happening with me owning pairs of 7's and now preferring 6's. the story behind the shoes only makes matters worse.

Ive got more 6’s than any other shoe. They were the first J’s I ever saw back in 91’, absolutely sick.
My fave right now are the Electric green, so much so I have 2 pairs. The Gold pack 6’s are stunning along with the UNC. Actually got the ‘Reflections of a champion’ shoes today. Awesome shoes, best J’s for me by a long way.

3M reflective materials on perforated area were actually the original feature on the OG black /infrared pair in 1991.
So Jordan brand finally brought it back on 2019 retro.

VI is the best. I've always been fascinated by the holes in the tongue. I remember reading years ago that part of the design inspiration was a water ski. It would have like a neoprene bootie on it with holes in the to pull your foot in. So it inspired both the holes and the "Dynamic Fit" system (something like that), which was like half a huarache where it wraps around the front of the foot. Then for the VII it had the full huarache-type bootie, if I recall, where the whole foot slips in.
The "clean toe" run of the 6/7/8 is probably my favorite. It made the shoes look so fast, and sleek. They brought back to material over the toe for 9 and 10, but then when Jordan came back the 10 got remodeled with a clean toe. Pretty neat.

@NachoAverageFinds long time no see! Glad you guys are back. Technically I've never owned or tried on any OG AJIIIs from '88 but the retros from '06 on are pretty easy to get on & off. But then again his Airness' PEs were probably different from what us mere mortals get in store.

The whole OG line is my favorite. Aj 4 and 6 are my top 2 no matter what I could live off the entire OG line up for the rest of my life. Especially if the bring the super tall OG tongue and OG Durabuck.
Agree totally. Same with the retro Reebok pumps. They made the tongues smaller when they should be huge.
