I made the diy drag mat when Robbie did the video. It’s the best £40 or so and a couple of hours build time I’ve spent, I use it every year thanks again Robbie.
Great video Robbie, at the beginning i thought Here we go Robbie has had one too many . I did mine also following your advice a lot better and my lawn is thicker this year
I think if I try to level with sand, I would need to have like 10cm of sand to cover. Holes and bumps are too big. I guess I will try first with soil to make it better and then sand after to finalize.
Hey Robbie, great video as always,. My lawn is full of lumps and bumps, largely from Ants. What would you recommend to do first before top dressing please? Br, HT.
Would you use this same technique for large dips? There used to be a pond in the garden & it was not compacted enough when turfed, now there is a large dip
If I want to renovate my lawn, do I scarify and aerate first and get the grass growing better. Or do I level the lumps and bumps first and aerate maybe next year?
Hi Robbie, I’ve had someone scarify & aerate my lawn yesterday, but they did it during a really heavy rain shower and the grass looks like the Somme. Any tips to speed up the repair time? I was thinking lots of seed, nitrogen & seaweed. Thanks.
@@Premier_lawns_official it was a guy knocking doors and the wife answered whilst I was at work. I wish I could employ you, don’t fancy a trip to Glasgow do you?
Neil why do you want to scarify it? This video may help you decide on how long you should wait czcams.com/video/s-AOCgmwdk0/video.htmlsi=ik1X48IKpaF5pBRg
I@@Premier_lawns_official I love your videos, but I'm also confused about the conflicting messages. You tell us in your videos not to use sand to top dress or level a lawn, but it appears that is all you use. You even show us your bulk sand storage and describe the best sand to use. I use only top soil when leveling my lawn and use fine compost as a top dressing. I suppose if I lived on the beach I would use sand, but otherwise I'll stick to what is already in my lawn.
@@Mike--K isn't lawncare a joy. Use sand, don't use sand.... Once I'm using sand, people want to know about it. I did a video about why I use sand but for most lawns sand probably isn't the best choice czcams.com/video/ZlAH4KUCjGw/video.html

Thank you for your comments, that has made my day 💚💚💚
If only I can get my grass the way it was in the beginning, I won't even thinking of doing anything 😂😂

We had some fun filming that 😁 I might post the out takes on the group
@@Premier_lawns_official please do lol
Your lawn was already perfect before the leveling.
Great video, thank you Robbie 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it
Do you have any tips on combating dog pee burn? I’ve tried miracle grow burn patch repair with limited success. Cheers James
Great video Robbie. In your sand pile in the top left I see a face 😁
Hahaha I will have to check that out 😂😂
Great Video! Please tell me: whats the name of this kind of three- headed palmtree in the background of your garden?
Thanks. In regards to the tree, your guess is as good as mine as plants aren't my forte 😜🤣
актер от бога, дайте ему оскар )))))))

When should you use a drag mat and when a lawn lute?
Not sure if this has been covered in previous videos? But do you know what causes any hills in lawns and what is the best way to get rid of them?
The earth is always moving and our lawns move with it. They go up and they go down
..
@@Premier_lawns_official thanks for the reply but I didn't check the predictive text. It was supposed to say ant hills. 🤦
Ah ant hills. Nematodes are the answer
Hi Robbie, how frequently can I top dress with sand, without smothering it, if my lawn is in a bit of a bumpy state?
Stupid question but what do you use for top dressing?
Hey Robbie, great video as always,. My lawn is full of lumps and bumps, largely from Ants. What would you recommend to do first before top dressing please? Br, HT.
Same here. I cut it really low so I could find as many nests as possible. I found dozens! Now I got loads of flattened anthills.
Would you use this same technique for large dips?
There used to be a pond in the garden & it was not compacted enough when turfed, now there is a large dip
Hey Paul, for big dips. This is the video you want

If I want to renovate my lawn, do I scarify and aerate first and get the grass growing better. Or do I level the lumps and bumps first and aerate maybe next year?
You can do it whichever way you want 😁
Although if it was me, I would do the humps and bumps first 👍

Why didn't they treat it afterwards, if you employed me. I would insist one doing both or none away all
@@Premier_lawns_official it was a guy knocking doors and the wife answered whilst I was at work. I wish I could employ you, don’t fancy a trip to Glasgow do you?
Haha no lol. I'm surprised they didn't want the lawn treatments though. Might be worth contacting them about it
Would kiln dried sand be a good substitute for sports sand?
It might 👍
How long should you wait before scarifying a new lawn from seed?
Neil why do you want to scarify it?

Hi I’m in lisburn, where can I buy the correct sand? Great vids 👍
Irwins
very nice video´
Thank you 🙏
I tried this and I’m sure it works…but we’ve got an 80kg Newfoundland dog/bear whose big feet make craters 😂
Can't see your link on where to buy sports sand
There are instructions on how to buy it in the video description 👍
Do you have a link to the lawn levelling lute?
No, sorry I don't
I don't understand your videos? One time you say to use sand and other times you say don't? Which is it?
Here you go 😁czcams.com/video/ZlAH4KUCjGw/video.html
