The directions for this sterilizer calls for 1/3 cup distilled water.
This does not dry the bottles however I’ve noticed if I take them out right after they are done, I shake out the excess water and they get pretty dry (although there is still some residual water). The key is not to leave them in there and take them out right away but be careful the water will be hot.

For those wanting to know about discoloration and cleaning it up, you want to descale these units at least once a month. Kinda like espresso machines. Just take everything out and pour in 250ml of white vinegar and let it sit anywhere from 30mins to as much as 24 hours, depending on how scaled your machine is. Then pour it out, brush/wipe the hot plate and rinse. Then run a cycle on an empty machine just with the normal distilled water and you’re all set.
Or just use distilled water and you never have to do that.
I bought this for my granddaughter and i love it.After i finish washing her bottles and rinsing them I stick them in there.I love this better that the old fashion one.She is 7mos.and i still do this.
I just got this from someone in my town ! And can’t wait to use it , I boil his bottles after they are all dirty and I wash them
Thank you for making this
Great video I just got one using it now
Very helpful :D
mine is stuck on the sterilizer button...what do I do? ...isn't there some procedure for if you don't use distilled water thats like a monthly clean process?
are you able to put the attachments at the bottom as well?
Can you tell me how much water it is at the fill line please. I got this sterilizer as a hand-me-down but did not get the measuring cup with it so I need to know how much water to put in
1/3 cup
Can i use regular tap water instead of distilled? I dont have distilled water
I lost the measuring cup how much water do you put in?
I’d say like 1/3 cup
Quick question after i use mine.theres still some water left in the bottom? Is it normal? Do i have to put more water or how many times can i used with the one scoop of water?

Problem with mine is after it's done they stay wet all the time even if I set them out to dry

Not a huge fan of mine. They don't dry , when I open it water goes everywhere and the film I'm pretty sure is mold . It's almost just as convenient to just boil them in my opinion. The bottles do fit very well and there is a lots of top space so that's a pro but I wouldn't have bought it if I knew lol thanks for the video !
Mine leaks does anyone else have this issue?
Does it fit any bottle or it’s just for dr brown ones?
Any bottle that is able to be sterilized can go in this. 😊
So it doesn't really dry the bottles right ? I tried mine and it was all wet in the end and I had to wipe them dry before immediate use.

How much water? I didn't get a cup as I got mine used

Same here, I got mine used but I read in the manual is 3 onz. So I used the bottle to measure. I hope I did well...
That discoloration will come off with white vinegar
Maybe if you wash it every day...I m in there scrubbing it now and it isnt coming off. It really looks funky. My grand daughter isnt home right now, shes been gone for 2 weeks and I sure hope I can clear it up by the time she returns.
Love the whole sterilizer thing but that discoloration is a fail to me cuz I cant tell if its discoloration or mildew.
Do I just let the white vinegar sit and soak. I bought it used and it has this discolored or mildew look to it; we’re thinking she didn’t used distilled water.
@Cristina Foster Use 250ml of white vinegar and just let it soak for min. 30 mins. For stronger discolorations or scale buildup let it sit longer. I’ve done 24 hour soaks with great results on heavy buildups.
@@gedionsamuel2256 how many times do you do it a week? I’m going to leave it overnight tonight to remove scaling.
