I'm a native Hungarian speaker and our language is similar to Korean in the sense that the basic word order is SOV but word order is flexible. However, in Hugarian, the meaning changes slightly if you change the word order. Usually when you put something in front of the verb, that becomes the main focus of the sentence. So if it's like [book] [in the park] [Arah] [reads] then it means ARAH reads a book in the park. (Arah, not someone else.) And if it's [Arah] [book] [in the park] [reads], then it means Arah reads a book IN THE PARK. (In the park, and not somewhere else.) Etc.
Does the meaning of the Korean sentences also change a bit like this with the flexible word order, or do they mean exacty the same?
Usually they mean exactly the same. However, sometime the meaning of the Korean sentences also change a bit depending on the text.
It’s interesting to know that Hungarian language is similar to Korean in the sense that the basic word order is SOV.😊
아라가 점심을 먹어요. 맞아요 선생님?
맞아요. It's perfect! Keep it up.😉
Please give us some quiz at the end of video where we can pause before we get the answer.. thx so much.. ❤
Thanks for the reat idea. I will do it when I make next video soon.😉
