We are a people with a distinct culture and international boundaries WHY join either of them in the first place? There is no better version of the devil, it is STILL the devil. The nation of southern cameroons is emerging in Jesus name Amen

Two great patriots who meant the very best for their people even though having divergent positions way back then.
Cameroon history that treats these men as footnotes is the gravest of injustices.
On hindsight, it could only be wished that the Opposition way back then had known that Brit Colonial administration was using it against Foncha to subvert the true aspirations of the people of BSC. Opposition then, instigated by the BCA, unwittingly undemined the possibility of sovereignty for BSC and was largely responsible for not only provoking the UNGA plebiscite decision but also for the narrow sense in which it was formulated. Perhaps if Foncha had, without the opposition, simply showed up at the UNGA in New York with the peoples' wishes that were formally agreed upon in the deliberations back at home before the journey, their story would be different today. Brit declassified documents reveal, 30years later that colonial admin had meticulously set this scene up, ensuring that the Opposition and gov't on seat never agreed on a common front that spelt sovereignty for BSC peoples. In all fairness, opposition leaders themselves did not know that they were being manipulated against their own people's true aspirations
