Im happy to see some digital 1/43 content. The SCX compact cars are perfect for digital conversion and the Guide flag makes for great driving. Enjoy
Do you know of 1/43 Digital is readily available to the US? I thought it had been discontinued by Carrera.
@@jordanhacker4694 Digital 1/43 is also discontinued in EU :( - But if you want the full functionality you have to use the electronics from 1/32 and adapt it to the smaller track, like I did. The only parts you really need are the digital red cross sections. Try to find it used before they are gone forever :/
I'm sold on this. I bought a SCX compact and tried it on my Scalextric Sport track. Man that car is awesome and when I crash there is like zero damage compared to my larger more fragile 1:32 cars.
I like the layout of this road course!
The Scalextric Compact cars win!!! Low chassis !!!!!!!🙃🙃😉
Gostei muito disso.
I would like to run scx compacts on a 1/32 digital track to get a more "scale" feel. Do you know how to convert scx compacts with a digital chip? I cannot seem to find any instruction videos on this process. I don't want to sink money into a chip and an SCX compact car if it is not possible.
There are a lot of third party chips like FT SCD Decoder, Frankenslot Speedflow and MPL. I recently used MPL because of the size. If you search for "MPL Decoder" there is a English manual on the website. It's pretty easy, just drill a hole for the IR diode and solder the chip between motor and contact brushes. There are also solder pins for the lights.
Awesome layout!! What is the size?
Thank you. The overall table is 320 x 120 cm big and consists of four 80x120 cm OSB boards with 18 mm thickness.
@@racevision Thanks for the details...My son is super excited to build a track now!
If you have further questions feel free to ask :)
Is SCX compact and Carrera go track compatible?
I never had a SCX track in my hand, but as far as I know they share the same dimensions, just the connection of the parts is different. Also the operational voltage is different 12V vs 14.8V. Here someone build a adapter: www.bw-slot.de/neue-bw-slot/schienen/scx-carrera.html
What is controlling the pits?
For the pit entry I swapped the electronics from a red Carrera Digital 143 track switch to the Carrera Go double track switch. The fuel is controlled by the Control Unit form the Carrera Digital 132 system. So you consume fuel by pressing down the controller (accelerator) and in the pit you refuel by stopping and pressing the back button on the controller.
where did you get this track from? and with which system? d132?
It's the Carrera Digital 143 system, it's discontinued but it's just about the digital cross sections. Basically it's a Carrera Go with 3D printed curbes and the 132 control unit.
@@racevision maybe You know how to convert standard pilot with wide plug from D143 to ControlUnit D132/124 using rj11/rj12 connector? I cannot find pinout.
@buliyo Here is a picture: www.freshkiwi.net/slotracing/img/connector.jpg
@@racevision amazing! thanks a lot! power supply is required to replace for ControlUnit from 143 to 132?
@@buliyo Yes, the 143 is way too weak, but you could also use a laboratory power supply with adjustable voltage. Or some dealers sell the Carrera ones from opened boxes for cheap.
