This is a deck I use year around. I so enjoyed reading the stories of the cards that I bought a couple of books about ghost and spirit legends from different cultures. I've had this deck for years and it was worth the work it took for me to use it fully. It wasn't really work, it was just so interesting to study. In my opinion it is not neccessary to use any other book then the LWB. I have friends who have never read the book and use it intuitively. I think it has a dark time of year feel to it, where the nights are long and filled with stories to share.

So i actually filmed this walkthrough quite some time ago but FINALLY released it - so if i say anything wierd that doesn't match up with more recent videos thats why LOL - just FYI! đ
I love this deck. To me, this isn't a Halloween/Samhain deck, but a dark Winter/Yule deck.
I agree with you - the art is stunning, but this might have been better served as an oracle deck. And the back of the cards killed it for me.

I still do that with music except now I just watch it over and over on CZcams with the lyrics. If u r dating yourself I am right there with ya girl! Btw! I pre-ordered Lisa Huntâs Pastoral Tarot with the landscape cards coming out in October. I love her art and Iâm excited to finally have one of her decks. Maybe that deck will work for you?
I'm excited about that one! And, since filming this video I also purchased (and bonded with) the Fantastical Creatures Tarot and LOVE that one too!!!
At first I was thinking this isnât for me but honestly I love it. I know most of these stories so itâs kinda like a dark childhood deck for me. The backs being different kinda bug me so Iâd find an alcohol marker to color them.

I feel like this deck would work wonderfully as an oracle, abandoning the entirety of the rws system and tarot and focusing on the images.
Lisa, Yes, it's been a year since you posted the flip through of Lisa Hunt's Ghosts & Spirits Tarotcand you may have already solved the stark white backs. If not, here's a suggestion. I used the Ranger brand vintage photo Distress Oxide. The result is totally acceptable colour match to the flip side.

Also, I do know the Fairy Tale Tarot by Lisa Hunt is going to be republished by US Games.
I love this deck. The artwork reminds me of Alan Lee's book Faeries, but gentler and less quirky. I don't read with it, I just enjoy it. Thank you for you video.

I love this deck and use it year round for spirit and ancestor work. I think I read the book once, but, honestly, don't use it. I read the art if that makes sense. I got to know it by reading for myself, but, now, I read for others.Thanks for sharing your reception of the deck! Blessings đ«đđ«
I will be working w/ this one this autumn & I'm excited to work w/ it....I had a strong emotional reaction going through it, like a beautiful emotion. I'm curious to see how the ghost stories translate to the mundane...feel ancestor energy coming through strong. We'll see...
I love the art guide is small print an hard to see altho the cards are fairly easy to connect to ty Lisa Hunt
So I had some great readings with deity/ spirit using the Luminous Void tarot- I think I finally got it. It's got enough space to breathe that it doesn't become overwhelming. This deck is beautiful but I feel it would be hard to use intuitively for me- or using it more as an oracle

I really wanted to love this deck because content wise it's everything I've ever wanted: filled with ghosts from around the world! Unfortunately, although Lisa Hunt is a very talented artist, I find her color choices are too cool toned for me, even when she's using reds and oranges. I wish I could find a deck that is just as rich with ghost culture but is less chilly looking!
I think I would trim it and number it so I had a ghost and spirits oracle deck, the artwork is gorgeous, but I don't see the suits in the art either.
I like the Ghost Tarot by Davide Corsi. Itâs been out for awhile and may not be everyoneâs cup of tea. It is a deck I like to pull out during spooky season. However, one of my top favorite decks for this season is the Jack-Oâ-Lantern Tarot. I love the little details in that one. I purchased it last year when it came out and just love it. đ
I am new to her work but I can definitely say she has a deep spiritual connection theme going on. I really appreciate it though since it lets me reflect on different messages. Her decks are ones you should take your time with. Love her art work, delicate, colors are beautiful, and the scenes are intriguing.
I had this one ages ago and sold it. But then I got another copy and I love it now.

I love her artwork as well, but like you this deck feels like it's going to be a lot of work. Which sometimes I don't mind either but again, it's all about having the time to set aside to do the study in the first place.

Keep this deck, and use it. It is def worth it. I use it year round.
I believe Aeneas is pronounced "eye-nee-us". But I relate, I cringe when I have to pronounce anise lol
I did the same thing with music and Iâve lost the patience for it as Iâve aged, but you are right that some things are worth the effort.
@Lisa Papez I have a suspicion that this is a fit as a teacher. I feel like it has things to tell you, if you let it. I think it was really revealing with your slip saying "I owe it to myself" instead of owing the deck. You can tell it has things to learn and grow from it. It definitely feels like a connection to spirit rather than "spooky". Take a week, curl up with a cup and steep yourself in the stories and wisdom of this spirit deck.

With these type of decks you are best doing "open readings" of which I learned with Tarot de marseille.
It works doing it that way best.
For instance, 2 people in the air, 1st card. The Queen and then 1 person in the air.
You could look at there being less people willing to be around the queen. Or the loss of one child.
Something like that..

I'm just finding out I'm so attracted to watercolour art in tarot decks. But what is up with these tiny prints! Why don't they print such detailed art on bigger decks đ same with shadowscapes and now this
Definitely not my vibe but I always appreciate your flip throughs and the way you perceive a deck. Iâm glad I donât like it as Iâve just filmed my tarot deck collection and Honeslty Iâd be fuming if I added any more tarot to my collection yet as itâs too soon for an update đ€Łđ đ

I went back and forth on this deck for a while. I ultimately decided not to get it for now because I'd have to rely on the guidebook with a steep learning curve, and I just couldn't see myself using it very much, if at all. It really is beautiful, but I've got other spooky season decks I'd rather use.

It's beautiful, but I think I would have a hard time reading with it especially since I'm pretty new to tarot.
Looks like a deck you could work with intuitively if you just cut off the titles and didnt worry about using it as a tarot deck.
