I am not in the market for a stick right now but this one REALLY peaks my interest. At least just to hit with it and see how it plays. The paint was something I absolutely hated at first but it’s slowly growing on me.
I am a fan of the channel due to the unbiased opinions. Several people that own similar racquets would probably love if you could compare y100d to other similar racquets. I am one of these people. I liked the video, but i still need to keep looking for comparison infos in other channels, to finally make up my decision. I can not demo rackets where I live. Thanks for sharing
This is why I like those tier list videos so much, where people say things about the racquet, but also compare them with lots of others .
It’s very interesting how 100 sqin control frames are growing, that’s very reasonable if they manage to make them well balanced, no loss in control, yet more forgiveness. As Gravity line made it into your so strong, and Speeds also more or less near, good for Yonex.
One of the best rackets I've ever played with. It feels so stable yet maneuverable. It's such a fine line that it is quite string gauge sensitive. I've been playing with 1.15mm gauge and it feels great. Any higher and it gets a bit sluggish.
This is an interesting comment. I found the 100D just much too unresponsive compared to my VCP 100. I suppose a really thin gauge string, as you suggest, might have fixed the issue. But then - and this is what really interests me - would a 100D with 1.15mm perform any differently to a 100 with 1.28mm?
@@BenQ10 Sounds like an interesting experiment! I wish I tried the VCP line. To your point though, I can imagine some people would say that the 100D is somewhat muted and underpowered but fortunately it works in my favour as it has the effect of taming my shots making it feel more controlled. It's great for keeping rallies alive but maybe takes more effort to generate pace and finish off points. I also tried the percept 100 which I really like but the 100D feels better as it is is slightly more stable but still maneuverable. I also like the lower launch angle since I hit somewhat flat.
When I purchased mine I put Hyper-G soft 1.15 @ 50lbs. Might lower the tension a little bit more on the next stringing to open up its smallish sweet spot and get a tad bit more power out of the frame - as it has more than enough control
Pls, it’s be appreciated if you also could say a few words on other than groundstrokes. What about serves, slices, drop shots?

For a one handed BH with a lot of slice, is better to play with Ezone 100 or Percept100D?
percept 100D easily. The launch angle is much lower on percept as well as being more control oriented which is amazing for slice!
I want more 18x19 patterns.
My son is a string breaker but he likes spin so he probably will try the 100 instead of the 100D.
Serena used 18x19 novak uses 18x19 in a 95 though

Not one of your better reviews. You guys seem to not know what to make of this racket. Denser string bed does not equal more power or better pocketing for that matter.
It's a stiffer version of the Gravity Tour.
