    I literally know this on the bass, and the accuracy to the original is amazing.
    Here is the chords if you play it in G to anyone who needs it. (The song is normally in G)
    G - 8bars
    C - 4bars
    G - 2bars
    D - 2bars
    There are some variations, but this is mainly how it is played.

    Very nice tutorial I've been trying to learn fingerpicking since I got my uke almost 3 months ago. I've tried more than several styles that are out there in videos but they don't seem to be something that I'm catching on to,this style is different from the others and I think with the obligatory practice I'm hoping to get it and I love the this type of blues. Thanks for the knowledge,you have a new subscriber.

    I subscribed to your channel about a week ago cuz I saw your "travis picking pattern" I've been playing uke for about a year now (not daily) and I somewhat feel that I am qualified to play intermidiate piece now, and upon looking on how does jazz and blues music sounds like in ukulele I stumbled upon this video, The intro gave me goosebumps cuz I feel like I've heard this song (riff) somehere and so I searched and listen to it and it was the same. There's a game called "Genshin Impact" (it's an online rpg open world) and if you enter the tavern on the first city. you'll hear this music. 💖

    I can’t tell from looking but when you say each note is played twice, is it that you play each note with the same pressure twice? Do you use Pima stemming pattern across different notes on the fretboard? Do you use thumb and index picking? Or do you use one finger to pick each note twice?

      IIdarkagell. Just curious, at a year playing the uke were you able to pick this up rather easy or did this take you alot of practice to get. Just trying to figure out where some people are after they have been playing for a year.If you would be nice enough to give me some idea, I'm just curious where I should be. I do pick up my uke just about everyday. Thanks in advance.

    • @llDarkAgell
      @llDarkAgell Před 3 lety

      @@user-zq8bd7uh1r Forgot to reply earlier but after a year of playing, to me personally, this was rather easy to just pick up and play. The only thing I’m struggling with right now is to avoid using my pinky to hold the uke body. I’m working on it since Jan and seem to have improved in that front too. I don’t play everyday but when I do, my sessions can go for an hour or two. What has helped me get better is to search for tunes I love and keep playing them, progress comes along with it. Just remember this isn’t a race and the people you see on youtube who play so well are doing it on the back of years or maybe even decades of playing. Some have transitioned from guitar to ukulele so they still have experience in music.

    I’m right with Nemeka. My girlfriend also gave me a bad ass ukulele for my birthday though. This is the first riff that I have decided to start my musical journey with. My only issue is with the fact that it sounds so similar to another blues rift that I’ve heard and I can’t put my finger on it. Anyone know what song it sounds similar to? Thank you for the super informative lesson and look forward to your continued new content. 🔥🔥🔥

    • @zilla3449
      @zilla3449 Před 3 lety +2

      The chords really do get easier with practice! Everyone learns differently, but what I personally do is play easy 2 to 4 chord songs from The Ukulele Teacher and play it on repeat as I practice, and I do this for an hour or two a day. Though, I still struggle switching from one chord to another and I've been playing for a little over 2 years now. Some good songs to start with are 5 Years Time by Noah and The Whale and Riptide by Vance Joy. Also if you haven't learned or heard about it yet, look up the Island Strum, it's your best friend and one of the most used strumming patterns. I hope this helps a little bit! :D
