    It's wonderful how you keep your brothers job in mind while doing yours. A wonderful crop is great in the long run, but getting it off the fields sure is taxing your patience. Keep smilin your videos are awesome!

    Ask to demo a disk mower and run it for 10 hours to help the rye crop in. Who knows maybe your dad will fall in love with it and buy it

    Still can't get over how thick and lush the alfalfa and rye crops are this year, Neline. 😊 The rye pollen is incredible. Thanks for another great post!😄

      Ahoj. Zdá se, že letošní rok bude zapsán v kronice jako velmi bohatý na srážky. A zřejmě je takový i u vás. God bless for all farmers around The World.

    @richardmason2918 Před 2 měsíci

    Yeah Neline. That looks like pollen. You're lucky you're using GPS to cut, with it being so hard to see the swath. I am surprised the cutting wasn't easier when you changed the worn guards. Good luck out there 😊.

    With the crop being so tall I would imagine it will tend to bind up the works. Keep plugging along Neline. You'll get through it! You might want to try carrying a battery powered leaf blower with you. You could use it to blow the radiators out in the field rather than having to drive back to the shop.

    • @dhenschel4
      @dhenschel4 Před 2 měsíci

      And blow off the machine as to avoid starting the tractor on fire. The motor is high and at the rear so not likely but I always try to avoid this before it happens.

    I love hearing you and others I watch saying they’re having feed issues due to abundant crop. Much better than listening the last couple of years of y’all say that it’s gonna take two rows to make a bail. Keep smiling, if the plugs are still getting you down just think “Baby Goats”. :)

    I wonder if a battery powered leaf blower would have enough air volume to clean off the rads? Might be handy to keep one in the cab, especially when working further from the yard.

    I don't know if you know this but on the double sickle or split sickle there is a special knife or section that mounts upside down on the end of the bottom one.
    From the way the one guard looked like the rest of them need to be changed and would guess the back bone of the sickle is woar out to.
    Just my thoughts.

  • @dhenschel4
    @dhenschel4 Před 2 měsíci

    1:15 'there are these two bars that hold the knives sections...' - that is called the sickle. Sickle defn: a short-handled farming tool with a semicircular blade, used for cutting grain, lopping or trimming. That is the old tool, the tractor's sickle is called a 'sickle bar' since is formed out of metal bars, not a semicircular blade. I can only the sickles are not cutting well where it is dragging; maybe your dad should have the experience to troubleshoot the problem here.
