I thought Euron was attacking the islands known as The Shields and the Arbor to threaten Highgarden. That’s why Marjorie gets angry at Cersei for refusing to send men to help the Tyrells. Euron hasn’t attacked Oldtown at least from what I remember. Technically Euron is attacking the Reach and Oldtown is apart of the Reach but that specific location hasn’t been raided by Euron.
@s.w.d4010 If you read some of the sample chapters from the winds of winter, Euron is currently sailing towards Oldtown, planning to make a giant blood sacrifice.
The GOT TV 📺 series got A LOT of things Wrong - Dani & her 🐉 Dragons would have NEVER been able to cross the Wall 🧱, they got this Wrong BIG TIME on the show, but it was obvious HBO wanted to wrap up the GOT show any way it could. That's why it ended so so Badly👎
The empire dragons most likely were told by the older dragons that they've often met that there is a 1 shot magic caster over the wall that can kill them. Denerys dragons had no older dragons that they could get the knowledge from.
I assumed that was because corpse-Viseryon brought down the wall with whatever magic the blue fire was, which sort of broke the spells weaved into the foundation. But the spells were in the foundation, which wasn't destroyed entirely so idk. The whole last two seasons were f*cking awful. Somehow Daenerys flew from Dragonstone, almost as far south as you can go in Westeros, to north of the wall while Jon Snow and friends just what...stood on a sheet of ice, surrounded by the dead? Logic went out the door after season 5.
Ooooh, that is a good idea. A horn that removes magical enchantments. If it truly is of Valyrian descent then it will require a blood sacrifice. If it is from the North, and the Valyrians stole it, then who knows how it would work.
@@lewismoreton4856 It may be possible that it's ancient magic of Westeros. Meaning its magic is as old as the children of the forest and giants or something. Makes you actually wonder why they even made the horn in the first place?
@@KyuuDesperation Perhaps the horn was made by the First Men as a weapon against the Children. Meaning it would've always been within human hands. And during Old Valyrias expansion, given that they'd built an empire from magic, a weapon that could break it would certainly be a threat worth stealing
Of course, if this were true, then who possesses the real horn? Is it with the Greyjoys on their way to take Daenerys' dragons? Is it with Sam in Oldtown (who's just blown it and who knows what chaos that will unleash in the city)? Or is it buried somewhere else, under the crypts of Winterfell?
I think the real reason the dragons were able to cross over the other side of the wall had something to do with the last Children of the forest being killed because of that without them being alive the magic that they used cannot continue without either one of them still living what do you all think🤔❓️
I think it's more about the ideal kind of spells that they use on both the wall and the white walkers symbolizing the different variants of the limitations of the magic that they use walnuts powerful that lasts for a long time and the other that's limited to the spellcasters lifespan
I think it was supposed to be Bran that removed the protective magic. He got marked by the Others and once that happened he removed the magical protection (seemingly the same) of the children that protected the 3 eyed raven cave got removed. Once Bran crossed the wall with his brand the magic protection was removed. When ever he mentioned going back to Winterfel after the cave got taken I kept yelling he's gonna remove the protection if he actually makes it. Technically the show never says this directly but it just seems logical to me.
@@SANDILETHEONKOSI-xr2lx The transformation of a man into the Night King seems to be a self sustained piece of magic. The wall however seems to run off of a power source (ie. Magic). With the death of the last of the children, that could cut the walls power. Also there are the heart trees. Those were said to be gods once! What if they were anchor points for the barrier and were passively powering the wall? The Andels were cutting them down during the war against the children. The severing of the Neck was a result if I remember correctly? What if the night king destroyed all of the heart trees north of the wall. Just food for thought 🤷🏼♀️
There's this formidable wall that this evil being can never cross. Let's cross it and make sure nobody can cross it. Okay, we crossed it and got stuck here among zombies. Now let's wait for our queen to come here with a dragon whom the evil being can kill, raise from the dead and destroy the wall.
Dany flew from Dragonstone (almost as far south as you can go in westeros) to north of the wall all while Jon Snow and friends stood on a sheet of ice surrounded by animated corpses. The "lets capture a wight" plot didn't make any sense on its own, but that season and episode in particular was just.... apparently dragons can bend space and time as well? *eyeroll*
Yeah and truth all they needed to do was allow wildlings to come south so that the walkers couldn't get anymore whites. The wall prevented to walkers from crossing so whateves.
If you've ever seen a map of the world it shows that leaving dragon stone, she would have flew around the wall up the coast. Also Dany flying north is just show canon for now.
I like the idea that it's fear and not the magical bindings that keeps the dragons from going north. Silverwing was a huge dragon- not so large as Balerion was, but by the time the Dance of Dragons comes around, I'm fairly certain she is considered to be the second largest dragon after Vhagar (with Vermithor rounding out 3rd place). Balerion himself flew straight into the bowels of Old Valyria, a place where nothing else dares to venture. His young rider contracted a terrible illness, and he came back with huge gashes in his side signifying that something huge had attacked him. If Balerion flew fearlessly to Valyria and fought whatever could reasonably wound him as the largest dragon in the world, then what does that say about the white walkers to have dragons fearing them? I adore what that does for the reputation of the walkers. I can only hope that the books come out and truly capture that terror in the north. Honestly, I can only hope that the books come out at all...
Idk, I like what your saying but I feel like that would be a little unfair to Old Valyria. Old Valyria would kill anything that entered long term and chewed up spit out anyone that try to explore it short term. An army of around 10,000 to 20,000 (idk the exact number) men marched into it and vanished. It's written to be an unaccessible place of unbeatable terror. For the north to be that dangerous and still have the characters win would drastically lower the danger level of Old Valyria and undermine its aura of indestructible horror.
@@narsilreforged That's fair. I hadn't thought about that. Although, maybe they could make some parallels that would keep old Valyria terrifying but also lend credit to the north. Maybe the Doom is something along the lines of the Long Night, and what remains of Valyria is what happens when you lose. It would lend credit to how terrifying the north is, while also showing the full, very real consequences of what happens to a region when you lose against such a terrible force, and by still keeping Valyria as the "this is the worst that can happen" symbol of fear. Beating the forces beyond the wall is what would keep Westeros from becoming uninhabitable and dangerous like Old Valyria, and then it'd also be historically relevant, since among other things that caused the doom, a civil war and general division between the ruling families and them all killing each other was what brought it down, which is also happening in Westeros with the war of the five kings and everything that happens after. Stay divided and end up like the old dragonlords or unite and forge a different path that would save Westeros from that fate, at the cost of perhaps something else (because I think an entirely happy ending wouldn't suit the books).
The very base of the wall is infused with ancient magic that is why even if the white walkers make a wall like in World War Z they can't climb it nor can they enter through the gate. But dragons themselves are magic so theoretically they can cancel the magic and one person can do it without dragons, the character everyone hates thanks to the show, Bran.
@@thalmoragent9344 In most magical worlds, breaking the thing that is enchanted very often destroys or nullifies those enchantments. Idk tho man....the show really went downhill quick. The Horn of Winter can bring down the wall and the cover of Winds of Winter is a white horn, so maybe thats where its headed.
Not that it didn‘t crush under its own weight but rather building it. If the ice froze under the correct conditions and if the temperature is good a wall like the game of thrones one can stand…. But given the technology of the show its very unlikely that they build a wall with perfect conditions without the help of magic. But afterwards it could theoretically stand without the help of it.
@@maxniemand975 The temperature should be sustainably cold. No climate zone on our planet is suitable for that, and there is no indication that the North in the book is particularly cold or stable. Even in the worst winter on our planets, temperature is enough to melt ice under bright sunlight. Especially the old, dusty, and light-absorbing ice. it's not possible that the wall would stand, unless there are different laws of physics in that world.
@@XOPOIIIO I mean obviously it works cause there is magic or such… but the magic doesn‘t necessary needs to be cast on the wall. It could affect the weather and temperature . A Wall like that is extremely unlikely, pretty much impossible in our world without the help of investing way to much money and electricity to keep it standing tall. But since there is magic, the laws of physics obviously work differently then our world. So we can‘t measure it all by our standards
All the movies is based off the bible even in real life nobody wants to cross the wall I don't know if God blocked off the other gaints from killing us it can be anything for the reason of the ice wall it's not there for nothing god never just make things for nothing
I doubt it’s likely, but, I’d love to see that the horns were switched - that the one that was found in the north was dragon binder and the one Euron has is the horn of winter. After all, you’d probably like to keep the wall destroyer away from the white walkers, and the dragon binder far away from any dragons. Euron will blow the horn, thinking it will bind a dragon, only for seemingly nothing to happen - and far away the wall comes tumbling down causing utter chaos for the Night’s Watch.

I'm enjoying the fact the Song of Ice and Fire is not a complete story yet. Much to learn and experience from the books in the future (if GRRM not die before that of course)
Mostly magic but it is called a song of ‘Ice and Fire’ I’m sure when the lore is complete (if ever) it will reveal why. My guess is dragons been around a lot longer than the book tells us. I’m thinking the first men used magic to create bonds with Dragons to war against the children of the forest. Sometime before or right after the others were created. To beat fire the children may have created the others (ice). The others and the children of the forest used magic to prevent Dragons from crossing. Then perhaps they lost control of the others but who tf knows
When Daneris took her dragons over the wall in the TV show the Children Of The Forest were dead from protecting the old 3 Eyed Raven and Bran, so maybe that has something to do with it…or the fact the screen writers wrote those episodes to fit the ending as the books weren’t finished in time to keep consistent with the books
Like they said on house of the dragon "The idea that we control dragons is an illusion" - King viserys said in the very beginning they know! Animal instant but hey that’s just a theory lol
We will never come to know as the book would never be released and will remain unfinished like many of the masterpieces before it as JJR is a fan of history and he’d like it to repeat!
This part. There is SOMETHING inside the wall. We needed to see what it was somehow, when the Night King’s dragon burned a hole in it. If it was magic from the Children of the Forest, then maybe there could have been colorful explosions from the magic being broken. Some type of noise signaling that curses in the wall were being cracked. Also the wall thawed(wept) and refroze over and over. There were things frozen inside the wall. It wasn’t just a block of ice. 🚶🏾♂️
Ruining the end of the show may be the single greatest example of sabotage ever captured on camera. True justice would be neither of those clowns ever having control of a project ever again.
The more I watch clips like this the more I want GRRM to finish the damn series and they can do like a FMAB and reboot GOT and faithfully follow the source material.
Or maybe since dragon being a huge flying lizzard, most likely prefers heat and the wall is literally in freezing cold and theh dont want to be there put of sheer self preservation, unless they feel like they dont have any other choice.
As a person who read the books before watching the series, I must say (while very entertaining) it did a disservice to the actual story and left out major events and added a few. And as of today when I bring up certain aspects of the actual story (for example Sansa Stark marrying Ramsey in the series where in the book she marries her friend Jayne Poole) people look at me like I’m crazy. If this happens in a tv series with conclusive evidence from the book that I’m right people still won’t believe me 😂.
Remember what happened to Hodor? Maybe during that time, Bran Crossing the Wall and Facing the WhiteWalkers may have had an effect on the wall... I dunno how well to explain....
My theory is why in the movie stars dragons can cross the walls is because they bond with the master I think that maybe since your blood is more purée and others maybe that might be why
I always thought it was because they sensed the undead. Even a mighty dragon can be brought down by an unending horde of unliving, and worst of all - it senses that it would be brought back as an undead. For a powerful being, that feeling would be terrifying.
The wall breaks consciousness melding magic (Ghost from John, other wargs mention it too). Dragons are inherently merged consciousnesses (three heads has the dragon: the dragon, a sacrificed human, and the rider). When Varamyr Six-Skins takes command of Orell's eagle, he can still feel Orell's thoughts in it. He tries to fly this triple-consciousness eagle over the wall and it bursts into flames from the inside. If a Dragon were to pass over the Wall, I'm confident it would die in a similar fashion.
At this point it would be completely okay with them picking up from season 6 getting a completely new cast and finishing the last 4 seasons of Game of Thrones properly

He's not 😂he got his money and laughs at us being pissed
He's never gonna finish those books man. I'll be appalled if Winds of Winter ever comes out, let alone the last one. And honestly, I can't really blame him. Bro doesn't have that much time left and doesn't want to waste it writing a book day in day out. He's enjoying all the money he made and I'm happy for him
I want to see Anne McCaffrey’s dragon series on the big screen
GOT reminds me of that drawing of a horse. The head part is drawn aesthetically and till the artist reaches its tail it looks like a drawing from a Kindergarten kid. Showing horse with stick legs. 😂
That ending is what we got from 12 year old's wanting to get on to the next class project.
I feel like everything in the show can be followed with "However, in the books..." 😅
We will never know, the books will never be finished.
GRRM was seen saying that in an interview, yes. Surely after the show ended, he says he didn't see the need to, the show did good enough.
@@Deverik1981 it didn’t. He is just afraid he doesn’t know how to conclude all his side stories. Books will always be more detailed. Anyway, you like the show? Good for you sir!
He never intended to finish these books. His ego is far too large.
Sounds as if The Wall was The End, and he writer was A Dragon.
(P.S. I never watched the program, nor read the books - yet drawing that assumption feels poetic)
Why would you say something so controversial yet so brave 🙃
Sam is in old town. Euron is raiding old town. Do the maths and you’ll see what will happen
There’s no way Euron is just this fucking random devil person, there’s gotta be some sort of explanation for all the power and knowledge he has.
Ur correct @@s.w.d4010
@s.w.d4010 If you read some of the sample chapters from the winds of winter, Euron is currently sailing towards Oldtown, planning to make a giant blood sacrifice.
Summon dueling dragons, that’ll be a giant bloodbath that could be used by Euron.
Yeah they thought they were getting Star Wars so they rushed the ending. Both series got ruined either way
Tbf they wrote the dragon across the wall thing before fire and blood released. But they also could've asked
...or, the walls magic has grown weaker along with the dragons magic and all magic
Almost like these things happen in different time periods
@@gurun8071 True, that's a good point 👉 😀👌
It wasn't HBO. They were quite happy to go several more seasons with more episodes. Dan and Dave refused and shoveled out the shit we got.

I love dragons! Such gorgeous creatures
The empire dragons most likely were told by the older dragons that they've often met that there is a 1 shot magic caster over the wall that can kill them. Denerys dragons had no older dragons that they could get the knowledge from.
Knowing this still don‘t understand why the one they brought to kings landing didn‘t die. Benjen said he cannot pass the wall but the dead could?
Really, I missed this thing. The only way that it could be possible is going threw East Watch by sea
Imagine if they went through all that to capture a wight, including losing a dragon, only for it to die when they passed through the wall ☠️
The White Walker just sort of forgot that it was supposed to be unable to cross
I assumed that was because corpse-Viseryon brought down the wall with whatever magic the blue fire was, which sort of broke the spells weaved into the foundation. But the spells were in the foundation, which wasn't destroyed entirely so idk.
The whole last two seasons were f*cking awful. Somehow Daenerys flew from Dragonstone, almost as far south as you can go in Westeros, to north of the wall while Jon Snow and friends just what...stood on a sheet of ice, surrounded by the dead? Logic went out the door after season 5.
@@corruptangel6793 it was a wight but sure
Something tells me that the horn is meant to remove the magic all together, which will then deem the wall useless.
Interesting theory! I could get down with that
Of course, if this were true, then who possesses the real horn? Is it with the Greyjoys on their way to take Daenerys' dragons? Is it with Sam in Oldtown (who's just blown it and who knows what chaos that will unleash in the city)? Or is it buried somewhere else, under the crypts of Winterfell?
I’m pretty sure silverwing was on edge when on the wall “hissing and snapping at every gust of wind” so something definitely was off there
"And I made all that shit up" - George R.R. Martin.
I think the real reason the dragons were able to cross over the other side of the wall had something to do with the last Children of the forest being killed because of that without them being alive the magic that they used cannot continue without either one of them still living what do you all think🤔❓️
Doesn't that mean the white walker also dies?
You might be right but some would say magic must defeat Magic
"I never really cared about keeping magic from crossing" -The Wall
This is the link to the artist. Please remember. Art is work.
Guessing the walls magic is fading by the time Dany goes to rescue Jon Snow et al...?
If you've ever seen a map of the world it shows that leaving dragon stone, she would have flew around the wall up the coast. Also Dany flying north is just show canon for now.
Magic overall was pretty diminished between show and books
I think it's because Bran crossed the wall after being touched by the Night King
@@Crissycrisofficial
That is just nonsensical.
@@CHAOS1997Why?
I can’t wait for your next upload💗 This video was very eye opening hearing many different opinions

I woke up this morning pondering this very question, thank you for explaining.
The Dragons can break the wall, just not cross over it
@@thalmoragent9344 what did I say?
@@thalmoragent9344 In most magical worlds, breaking the thing that is enchanted very often destroys or nullifies those enchantments.
Idk tho man....the show really went downhill quick. The Horn of Winter can bring down the wall and the cover of Winds of Winter is a white horn, so maybe thats where its headed.
@@thalmoragent9344 Which begs the question, how did the dragon get over it in order to break it from the other side.
Magic is the only explanation why it didn't crush under it's own weight.
My theory is that Sam and Euron have the opposite horns and they’ll both get blown and cause chaos
Jeez this music brings me back to the first 7 seasons.
We all know there will be no answer, don't we?
Unfortunately, yes.
Yep
As a Christian, you'd see the wall of Jericho and the horn of the sons of Levi in this story line..
Thanks for pointing this out. It’s an interesting connection
All the movies is based off the bible even in real life nobody wants to cross the wall I don't know if God blocked off the other gaints from killing us it can be anything for the reason of the ice wall it's not there for nothing god never just make things for nothing
The wall said “Ight imma head out”
Because it’s cold and they don’t like the cold, they like it hot

RIP Dave and Dan.
Also, someone once mentioned that Sam and Euron are both at Oldtown
I doubt it’s likely, but, I’d love to see that the horns were switched - that the one that was found in the north was dragon binder and the one Euron has is the horn of winter. After all, you’d probably like to keep the wall destroyer away from the white walkers, and the dragon binder far away from any dragons. Euron will blow the horn, thinking it will bind a dragon, only for seemingly nothing to happen - and far away the wall comes tumbling down causing utter chaos for the Night’s Watch.
That BGM 🔥
Cooking interpreted that the magic that held up the wall was starting to fade
The rains of castamere is playing in the background

Wow, that's a powerful take on that wall there
Imagine Euron stole the horn. That’d be mind blowing. The twist and suspense.
There was this scene with uncle benjen he mentioned the wall having some magic preventing him to cross it. Seems like writers forgot about it.
I like the possibility of there being ice dragons that are 20x the size of belarion the black dread
I've not seen GoT aside from what clips show up on my wall. Heard there was lots of pp and didn't want to see that, but do what to see how they did the story and for what I have heard of the wall and the world.
From what others have said it seems to be similar to where we truly live.
Now that I have learned we're not on globe/ball in the middle of nothingness...that all that "space" doesn't exist, that there is firmament preventing us from exiting a fixed area, that the "planets" are wondering "stars"(messengers), and that shooting stars are actually fallen messengers often called demons that we get to see knocked down/ fall.

Dragons were real. May still be somewhere.

NEVER EVEN KNEW THERE WAS A WALL😱🤣
Read the comments before watching and didnt believe she said bleek bow until I actually heard it for myself.😭
Silverwing hitting that in-game invisible wall.
That strong unseen wind!
Like they said on house of the dragon
"The idea that we control dragons is an illusion" - King viserys said in the very beginning they know! Animal instant but hey that’s just a theory lol
Having that horn would add A Lot to the hbo series imho
Gilly wore out Sam's horn of winter.
It was so so good up until the last season… It pains me to think about it.
During alyssene's stay in winterfell, silverwing was lying on it's nest most o the time, showing clear signs that it didn't like that place

I will show this clip to my son....when the time is right. When the red wedding is freshly new to his mind. He will be ready then.
Was this my timeline, i remember of somewhat!!
Writer of the book: The next book will come when the wall falls. 😂
Ruining the end of the show may be the single greatest example of sabotage ever captured on camera. True justice would be neither of those clowns ever having control of a project ever again.
Eyron destroying the wall to see what would happeb once he learns of The Others sounds just like him.
It’s just ice cold and dragons like warmth
Maybe the walls power was fading as the white walkers winter approached
"No dragon is a Slave"
Except Viserion... 100% under the Night King's control... no breaking free of the magic bond, nothing. A slave.
Very goid we must spread the world and break the barriers
Euron in the show was pretty cool but book Euron is f***ing diabolical. I really can’t wait to see what he’s up to
My theory is why in the movie stars dragons can cross the walls is because they bond with the master I think that maybe since your blood is more purée and others maybe that might be why
It's time for Game Of Thrones: Brotherhood
I always thought it was because they sensed the undead. Even a mighty dragon can be brought down by an unending horde of unliving, and worst of all - it senses that it would be brought back as an undead. For a powerful being, that feeling would be terrifying.
What if Sam brings down the wall by accident because he has no idea what the horn does?
Sam is smart and would try to figure something out before he uses it.
I'm going to watch this series again and also Vikings
