What you are looking for is a vertical milling machine, whatever you do do not use your pillar drill as the quill the bit that holds the chuck and allows it to be lowered is not designed for lateral movement. Unless you fancy dodging flying metal do not attempt to push the item through the machine they need to be fastened down securely millers have moving tables to allow you to secure it and move the work into the cutter. An alternative is a horizontal miller but the cutters tend to be far more expensive.

Will echo everyone saying you need a Mill/Milling Machine with a 6degrees of movement workbed for the piece - you can get 'cheapER' ones that are operated manually, or ones with a CNC component that allow you to dial in the movements/have pre-set programs for what you're talking about & will help you square off the material.
They're not so much used for "polishing" though - You may want to have a hunt round all the Smithing/Metalworks' CZcamsrs in the UK/Area of England you're in & see if anyone of them have one and will let you have a play around so you can check if it does the thing you're looking to do - the operation in the Mill you're talking about is more used to flatten the material/'square it off' across the face(s) of the piece of metal you're working on, polishing tends to be more of a grinding operation whilst you work through the grits to get the finish on the material you're looking for. Again, metalworking/Smithing channels would be a good shout.
(Would avoid Alec Steele IMO though, he's definitely the biggest in terms of following but has a habit of making sure that the video(s) would do a LOT more business for a lot less work for *him* than they do for you if you were to arrange a Collab - just my 'IMO' bit there though, you work with creators far more than I ever will as a fan so would be able to find out better than I could)
Also, tiny hint/tip for when you're quenching the ingots - its likely to never be a problem but when you put them in the water try to move the block around/agitate the material a bit - due to the heat difference between the block and the water a steam 'jacket' can form around the outside meaning the cooling isn't even across the material.
As its a copper block to be used for a paperweight the odds of it ever being a real problem for you are slim, but it would be a right bastard for a chunk of it to fly off when you do get to the point of Milling/Grinding etc. due to how the material cooled, sort of a 'best practice' thing rather than 'you're fucked if you don't do it' issue I suppose 😂.
Great to see your ADHD journey as an adult too - far too many people of my generation (born in 1985) & the 10yrs or so after are in that boat of we were told as kids it either wasn't real or was some kind of 'failure/thing that was wrong with you' as opposed to just something that you have and can manage - a pal of mine got assessed and confirmed he had it a few years back and the difference in focus etc. for him now is night and day & our biggest chat was 'what would he have been like at School/exams etc. if he'd had this support 20yrs ago?' so really good to see you being so open about to encourage others to be! Have a good 'un!

You’re raising kids, long days, juggling a business, gym and being a CZcamsr - you’re doing and expecting too much from yourself.
Taking drugs that are known to be addictive and have side effects is not the way to go. Before you pop, investigate what are the side effects, when do you stop and what example are you setting to your kids.
      Pills don’t make you healthy

What you're looking for is called a mill - and they're not cheap.
You can get a milling table to attach to pillar drills.. but don't. Drills are not designed to be mills - you can get away with it for engraving and very light milling on plastics and softwoods, trying to actually machine something sticky like copper is inadvisable. Drill chucks and the quill on a drill press are not in any way intended to take side loads.

I was given the ADHD diagnosis at age 50. It was a revelation, and explained a lot about my childhood. Of course, when I was a child, there was no ADHD. I was just an arsehole and they tried to beat it out of me. Naturally being me, I dug my heels in and became an even worse arsehole. And on and on.
If you have the resources, invest in EMDR therapy. It changed my life, and gave me a toolset to deal with my behaviour. Mostly.

Eventually, I got an accountant, and they saved me further cash, so it sort of paid for it's self and took the pressure off me. As for the ADHD if do what you think you need to do.

Having been a badly behaved - hyperactive kid growing up in the 80s, to it developing into ADHD in later life and being more refined / defined.
I’m passionate about it not being a diagnosis. It’s not a disorder, it is not a disability. It’s normal.
It’s just that civilised life tells you to fit in you are now different to how the world expects you to fit in. But every autistic and adhd even Tourette’s are just normal people.
But now they’ll throw medication and treatment at you to try and “normalise” you.
But that may make the adhd acceptable, but in the long run, it’s mind bending drugs that will affect you by other means and deteriorate other organs.
So I urge you and anyone, just to accept it as normal rather than a diagnosis that they are trying to get you to believe you are different and can’t survive in life.
We all subscribe to you cause of who you are currently. So just be you!
Edit: yes food stuffs, and metabolism is a huge factor. Cut out anything that is synthesised. And pointless meds like cold n flu stuff etc. even paracetamol when you don’t need it.
