Good to see Curtis Mayfield doing good at the time. One of the absolute best R&B poets with The Impressions and on his own. And of course having done the BEST (and most relevant) movie soundtrack of all time!

The first show of Charles Osgood back 🔙 29 years ago in April 1994, and he was the 2nd of 3 hosts of CBS Sunday Morning, when the Show was 15 years old, loved watching all of the Sunday Morning Shows, then & still today.
Hard to believe that the Show will turn 45 in late January 2024 & entering it's 45th or 46th Season.
Unfortunately, the 45th anniversary will be bittersweet with the passing of Charles Osgood at 91 of dementia.
Think about Charles Kuralt did the first 15 years of the show and died ironically on the 4th of July in 1997 at the too young age of 62. Charles Osgood not only surpassed Kuralt's tenure as host with 22 years but he outlived him by almost 30 years.
