But I can tell there is some degree of social ineptitude here, maybe because of a missing father figure/overprotective mother figure but this isn't a dig at the guy just an observation

Plunder to me have a very very healthy design. Its extra deck is full of engine monsters and each of them have its utility + follow up effect, without being too oppressive. Another cool thing is that the player can not abuse of generic unhealthy stuff because a lot of the effects locks you in plunders.
What a beautiful deck! I would like to see more decks with this design.

Taking advantage of this, I would like to ask if the second effect of the plunder field can be active if I have another field activated
I personally play 3 whitebeard, 3 goldenhair and 3 field spells, because field spell is an access to the tuners so even at the cost of a discard it's more access to the best patrolls. Then 1 red, 1 crow and 1 blue. That's all. The rest is runick and free spots. I feel like it helps a bit the consistency.
The 1 plunder field makes more sense it it's not your win con. It's searchable as follow up mostly and can recurr itself.
@@BigDaddySlug before baronne was hit I had as a 2 of as it allowed you to rotate through field spells turn 1 and make baronne so you could resolve fountain 2 to 3 times and it gave access to bluebeard to make this happen while discarding the runicks you had already used that turn. Not saying its better but it allowed more explosive plays when it came up. This was also used alongside a thurst and terraforming package as if hand trapped you could place the token on the opponents field. (This was last summer so the format was completely different).
3 field spell is bad
If you play 3 fields you've better play Adventure Plunder bc your wincon isn't the Plunder side, the plunder gives you the bodies, your wincon is the Runick side of the deck.
@@LynnLyns you're very mistaken about this deck. Both the runick and plunder are wincons. Runick is good for early game, mid game(after your first turn) plunder turns on and you start snowballing. And then in the grind both runick and plunder are very strong.

Anyone else I might be sceptical but this guy has been obsessed with this deck since even before release so I trust that he's played enough to justify his ratios
Hi Joshua. Not sure if you read comments, but do you have any opinions on these 'meme' Runick options:
1. Heat Wave (to be played after a draw phase only turn)
2. Card Scanner (to recover cards returned by fountain)
3. Flower Cardian (To abuse stacking and the like)

Does it still make sense to go for the runick cards? I mean Konami starts to focus on nongeneric stuff...and u can play runick with so much different archetypes. Will they hit that to death? I would love to play that list though...Nice thoughts and thanks for sharing!
Cosmic is viable to main in this format. Most of the top decks use a powerful field spell. Especially with tenpai in the game, hitting Sangan without destroying is valuable. Duster in the main is silly tho

I prefer 3 field spell, 1 blue, 2-3 red, 3 white, 2 black and 1-2 golden hair depending. Then runicks
I play law of 2 I think OCG does it most it’s just nice you can fit 7 sets of 2 and maybe a harpies feather duster instead of 5 sets of 3 in a side
Just helps for diverse formats obvs if a card is an auto win against a main strat still keep 3 of it

I think Runick is a cool deck concept, but I havt how some of my favorite archetypes are basically tied to them these days (Plunder and Fur Hire).
I dropped Fur Hire entirely due to wanting to play pure, but pure is just plain worse than Runick Spright Fur Hire.
I have a pure Plunder deck, but made the switch to using an Adventure engine.. but knowing most others are running around with Runick makes me less excited to play my deck.
I've been gravitating to decks that can basically only be ran pure, like Abyss actor, D/D, Altergeist, and Lab.
I don't mind using (former) "meta engines", but I hate when I feel forced to run hybrid decks.
I wanted to try Ogdoadic, but seeing as you are missing out on so much pwoer if you don't run Reptilianne and Alien cards, I just passed on it, even though the theme seemed so cool.
Also, why can't Konami make a good Egyptian deck these days? I';ve been waiting for Triamid support.. Ogdoadic is lacking.. and Horus feels like it's missing a wave of support.

I feel like the faster and more consistent yugioh gets, the more we'll see two-ofs rather than 3-ofs because of the HOPT clause konami throws onto everything nowadays, just for lack of better design. Like if a card is so broken that using more than one of it in a turn is a problem, maybe it shouldn't be that good in the first place...? Lazy design "balancing".
Too many cards are good enough to be 3 ofs despite HOPTs these days, but we're getting to the point where enough cards have redundant effects that you can use multiple Singleton HOPT cards to get to a specific effect more consistently. If you've played any kind of Cyberse pile for Link climbing this is ESPECIALLY notable since almost every notable card summons itself, something else and/or adds a card that does one of those things.

How many decks just keep seaching cards even if you hit them with Ash ? If that is the case then Ash just becomes a brick.
