Never heard of this disarming film. It is all that we need to live by. It is a triumph.

I too had not seen this film. I like Dorothy Lamour but never cared for Akim Tamiroff ; John Howard was so handsome. Really a good film.
A small masterpiece of exotic proportions. This film is epic on so many levels To try to improve upon it might be blasphemous.

Although Ms Lamour is a talented actress, I do think Ana May Wong would have been better playing the Audrey Hilton part. Yes, I know 'that's just the way they did things" back then in Hollywood- - but I still think A-M-W would have been a better choice. I'm almost surprised they didn't cast Micky Rooney as the Chinese house-boy. . .
