Ben Platt is an oscar away from getting his egot (and would make him one if not the youngest egot receiver ever) since this performance won an emmy after he and the show had already won the grammy and tony. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (songwriters) are an emmy away from their egot.

@@SongsFromASuitcase yes, ben is set to do his role again and amy Adams is set to play the mother of zoey and connor. I think it started shooting already when shooting began again after lockdown but not sure how the production is going.
There's gonna be an original song for zoey written by pasek and Paul and the actress that will be playing zoey.
The movie will be produced by Ben's dad who also produced la la land and others.

I think this exact video/performance on The Today Show made them win an Emmy's for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program. Meaning "you are not alone" who loved this performance.

I'd love to see your reaction to "Waving Through the Window" or "Sincerely Me". I feel "Waving" really introduces you to Evan's Social Anxiety Disorder, while "Sincerely" is a real change in style in comparison to that and this song (most likely due to the upbeat tempo).

Will Roland was in the original Broadway cast of Be More Chill. You might want to look at that show, the favorite song of most people is probably George Salazar singing Michael In the Bathroom.

That is one reason I love to listen to Broadway stars doing their thing. I don't need the same lyric sheet I do with virtually every other genre to find out what the writer meant me to understand. Each and every word has its own purpose to promote the narrative and define the characters, and they all matter as much as those notes do. Musical theater has to do them all justice and its stars discipline themselves to make it a priority. This goes back generations to the days of Gertrude Lawerence , Alfred Drake, Ethel Merman, and Zero Mostel.
If you like Ben Platt a lot you should Definately check out his cover if “Maria” from west side story. There’s a vid on CZcams it looks like he just recorded on him phone. It’s a damn shame he didn’t cast as Tony in Spielberg’s remake I think he would have been FANTASTIC
