That’s what it’s about right there - you can hear in his voice the enthusiasm for building cars after 30 years.
Growing up in the late 90s if you had a car that ran a 10 sec pass, you'd be the talk of the area. It's awesome to see a little na 202 run a time like this. Refreshing as it reminds you of the good old days before BARRAS AND LSAs etc hit the scene..

I had an lc with a 265 hemi six pack 4 inch bore and 120thou offset grind crank with a 15 inch engine set back,on the streets of brisbane in the mid 90s it was unbeaten,was Probally a mid 11sec car. fuck it was mental.Never raced Andy fox or the top hitters but it surprised everyone.
The energy that this bloke is as addictive as his Torana!

Watched a review on a v12 SVT Lamborghini the other day, and for over $700k you too can run a 10.8! We’ll done on the build fella!
I'm 62, and have owned my LC gtr since May 1978 ( bought it 10 weeks before my 16th birthday ). I went through the go faster stage, eventually running a pro-stroke 235 with a garrett strata turbo with a 48mm Dellorto / supra 5 speed 3.36lsd combo. eventually got sick of the constant tuning / maintenance regimen and pulled it all out for an RB30et / tremmec TKO and 3.25lsd 9". the car is super reliable, i hardly ever touch it mechanicaly now and it is super smooth in traffic or goes like a rocket riding coyote when i want it to. good to see i am not the only "mature man child" to still be messing with toys.
This video had me smiling from the moment Trev started talking. Great story brought to life via an exceptional video. Top work.

I used to pit crew for bloke who run regular 11.0s in a little red FC with triple 48's we never got into the 10's but we had a lot of fun tryin.

Not a Holden guy but MAN you have to hand it to him, That Torana is something special!
Many blokes did 265 swaps back in the day but to make that 202 work hard with triple Webers is awesome, Sounds good too!

Kudos needs to be given regardless of your affiliation. I'm a a motorhead and I love all cars whether its a v8 ,rotary or straight 6 . It's about recogniizing those that push the the limits and getting the umbers out of all engines. Man I have to say though isnt that is a great little torry from the 70's . 10 sec's ,Congrats.

Great story! It's so good to see what is a nice, basic, quick, car. No million dollar blowers, ten turbos, haltec, motec, full custom chassis, blah, blah, blah and enough money spent to finance your house. Really refreshing and enjoyable.

That was awesome!!! I'm a Ford Girl, however, I've always loved the LC and LJ Torana's, especially the XU1. Your 6 cylinder "pocket rocket " is a work of passion and determination for THE most expensive "6 pack" I have ever heard of, maybe even the world.

I love this car an absolute dream car. My uncle had one when I was a kid and when he past away I always said I wanted one. Unfortunately as life goes prices are now through the roof but maybe one day the dream will live on. Great video guys this one touches home.

Gotta love a set up where the factory engine is being used,just goes to show that some like a challenge....Nice work..
I know he doesn't like to think about dyno figures too much but I like to use them as a comparitive tool.
If you doubled this cubic inch you would be in the 900hp range with a 400ci which is about right for a 1.5ftlbs per cubic inch engine. This is right in the range of cup car performance. I also watched a video about a track E49 that was making 450hp and that was worked like hell for this Holden to be making the same power with 63 less cubes is a fair effort.
That’s a little weapon, love it, killer job on the build.

Listening to the engine under full load along drag strip sounds smooth no excessive screamin' just torque on torque on torque from a wee lil' 202ci , Great build from a guru who knows his stuff💪
i remember a yellow lc or lj torrie at Calder park drags in the 80's it was pulling low 11's. it had a 265 hemi in it pretty quick for the day.

Loved this story . It’s what dreams are for.
Fan bloody tastic. Not bad for a car that was originally derived from a little ol' Vauxhall. 460 bhp would make it a helluva lot more powerful than a similarly-sized Ferrari engine from a 275 GTB/4 with twice the cylinders & carbies & 4 times the camshafts. The Fezza might be a bit more streetable, although they revved pretty high, too. And all to win a bet of a six pack from his doubting mates. Hope it's not some crap like Tooheys or VB.

Yeah, I'll give that a like. I was not able to get close to that in my Torana with 20 PSI boost and close to 300 at the wheels.
