I've been listening to this band for almost 20 years so I'm really sad that Alexi passed away. I still cannot believe he's gone. I was listening to one of their concerts on youtube, then checked the comments for no reason, and saw "rip" everywhere. The horror. I'm in shock. Alexi is such a wonderful artist, so creative, so talented, it's a big loss. I've seen several orchestras making covers of his music through the world, even 10 years ago. Children of Bodom was one of my favourite bands. And Bodom after Midnight were amazing too. At least his music lives. Miss ya Wild Child

This album, Hexed, is the first time Bodom had a neoclassical sound since probably Follow the Reaper. When I first heard the beginning of this song when it was released, it gave me Old Bodom feelings immediately and made me so happy.

Alexi was one of the best. Big names have reacted to his passing including Steve Vai, Zakk Wylde, David Coverdale, Dave Mustaine, Marty Friedman, Joe Bonamassa, Steve Lukather, Sebastian Bach, Nightwish etc.

He will always have a special place in my hearth. He made me pick the guitar and he still does today. He made me fell in love with that instrument and with music in general even though my dad plays the guitar and some of his friends do too. I dont smile alot but while listening to this riffs my face shines brighter then the sun. There is no word that can describe how much respect and love I have towards him. Rest in power my hero.

He was a magnificent guitarist. God it feels weird to say, "He was.." it used to be that, "He is.." that's sad. I miss you man. I know you're in the halls of valhalla

and you haven't even heard the best ones. I might be old so I prefer the older albums, but I'd say: 1. Follow The Reaper, 2. Hatebreeder, 3. Hate Crew Deathroll, 4. Something Wild, 5. all the new stuff (new albums are good too, but I prefer the ones from my childhood; personal thing) . Alexi was a great influence for many guitar players and bands, that will never die.

I tend to agree. However, I worship chaos and Hexed are the "matured" versions of FTR and HCD. From technicality/melodically POV, I think their last 2 albums are the best to be honest.

How did he sing play like that, together, like that? it blows my mind that he could do that. How did he do that?
