There's really a lot to be said about a guide on CZcams (or ANYTHING game or movie related) that isn't obnoxious and mostly filler. Gotta give credit to creators like this that get to the point, don't rely on being obnoxious to be entertaining to 10 year olds, and actually share good info rather than just reading back tutorial hints that everyone knows.
This is the finest advice on weapon engravings available anywhere. T7 PDM is starting a renaissance in ACO play. Listen to him, this is the Master's Degree in ACO.
You are not wrong. Since I have been watching his vids and taking his advice over the last month, my builds easily double in effectiveness. At first I found nightmare pretty challenging. Especially on a fresh play through. But now nightmare feels like a normal difficulty to me.

@@freebatman4everyone We believe that armor is countered by armor penetration. So the percent of armor penetration needs to be subtracted from armor percent value of the enemy, which makes armor penetration incredibly strong. The most commen believe is that this is a substraction and not a division. Giving bigger bonuses to enemies with low armor and less for high armor. The resistances reduce the damage which is left. The reverse thing is more difficult, since we do not know the stats of the enemeis or the damage values of their weapons, etc. But it should work the same way. But in general the armor value is not really important as a player. The formula itself makes resistances super powerful, but I would still try to invest 15 points on armor, if possible in the masteries. For a few points you get a lot of armor percent value in return.
Im at the point where I try to transmog everything I want to keep. So when I go on a spree I don't let lazy and dismantle or sell something special. That or store it on the ship. But this is a fantastic guide as to how to judge their value. To add, I automatically sell/dismantle anytime I get a piece of gear with both fire and poison engraved. None of my favorite builds use both elements at the same time.

This video is amazing, I have a request, you've spoken about how damage calculation works in segments in other build videos, but I'd like to see a dedicated damage calculation video which explains all of the math. This is definitely the best in class channel for ACO content, keep up the good work!
Its not worth to put effort into such a video, it will have very low views. The calculations for hunter and warrior are explained in the legendary warrior and legendary hunter video. And also for assassin in the ezio set video, since they are the ones to gain the most views. However there will be a new asassin video complementing the legendary build series for all three types. All three will then be featured as a legendary set playlist with 3 videos on top of the channel homepage.

100% Thanks to T7 PDM, I have turned Kassandra into demigod (105% melee resistance) two days ago. LOL now trying to turn kassandra to full god with 100% resistance on melee, ranged and elemental LMAO

Simple formula that works for me: dismantle common and rare, sell unwanted epic, and keep legendary obviously by default. Also buy building materials from blacksmiths.

I saw an epic sword in the blacksmith that had warrior damage, damage with swords and crit damage and i didn't care, when i realised my mistake he had refreshed his inventory, oh the pain
I'm a new player and I'm confused 😕 Do you need to keep an item with a particular engraving in your inventory, in order to use that same engraving on another item?
Ok call me a noob but I have questions Im currently lvl 35 I have falx engraving and 30 % armor penetration one axion and harpe swords respectively I'm not sure if this is good thing at this point because two hits and I'm done is there anything I can do before I go to Atlantis to help my health ?
if i have a good engraving rolled on any of my item ,and dismantling it would permanently cause the engraving to be gone ?????? that's the thing i couldn't figure out
Start a ng+ or Atlantis, you keep all your items level and materials, etc. but you can do the whole game again. Only the lieutenants will be reset and the map will be uncovered.
is there any specific blue gear i should keep other than the big horn bow and the hammer from the minotaur quest line i was thinking about selling all of my blues but i wanted to know if there was any others i should keep.

Thats an item from before the November 2018 update. I have one with 2x Assassin and 2x Hunter from that time. The November '18 update fixed all random roll issues. You can not get such items anymore. But mine are useless anyway, because I cound engrave that on the 4th position aswell. The engravings on them are also crap, though.
I love your videos man, very informative. Quick question: if I have a sword build, does engraving a different weapon type on the torso (heavy blade) and legs (spear) add to my overall damage? Or does it get nullified?
I think I have a bad glitch with my gear? I can't seem to find better gear even though I am picking up better peices it still shows a significant drop in stats have you had this issue?
The stats on the inventory page are increased by the main damage types, Assassin, warrior, hunter, and all damage. If you find anything with better stats, they dont necessarily increase the value on your inventory page. If you need more information about builds, then watch the builds videos. If you used items with "all damage" any other item will always be shown slightly lower even if they are much better if they have crit chance and critical damage.
Thanks for the awesome tips :) one question, I agree epic has better value than legendary, but upgrading each epic gear costs too much whereas just upgrading one legendary gear upgrades all corresponding legendary gears of the same set, saving lot of money. How do you deal with the cost to upgrade gear every few levels?
Legendary sets only upgrade when you collect the last piece of the set, or recollect the last liece. Legendary weapons upgrade when you recollect them. You get thousands of materials when you dismantle high level weapons.
Question. I have my build at 100 cit hance with over 600 crit damage at full health... If I use the engraving where you get 100% more damage but my health is capped at 25%.. does that not work with my cit- chance at full health
Im going for a warrior assasin mixture of stealth and warrior damage its like being good at both so when im out of stealth i would not be at a disadvantage
The Oaken bow of Chambers always has Hunter damage, Critical Damage and Headshot Damage. It is a fixed item and it never has different stats. Make sure you own a legal copy of the game and updated it to the latest version.
I'd like the next game to have better visional identifiers for what stats will be on an item. Sorting a wall of purple items is the worst part of the game.
Realised how much money I wasted dismantling. Selling gear and buying materials seems far better (even if you can't buy all the materials in one go and need to visit several blacksmiths)
If I’m level 53 and I’m getting epic gear that already come with like 10 or 12% crit chance engravings, do I keep them or try to put my own crit chance engravings to try and get 100%. And also should every single build have 100% crit chance?
Every good build has 100% Crit chance. You can upgrade every item to have max percentages at level 91, do not dismantle because of lower values. If they are good, keep them.
Because all damage is the last option to use on Torso.There is no crit chance available, only 50% Crit damage and poison damage. So if you do not want to make a poison build, then use 10% all damage and 50% crit damage on Torso.
a great explanation, but I have 1 question though... what do you do with common and rare items (weapons and gear) at level 99? Do you break down or sell them?
Completely new to odyssey... found this as I was looking for a guide on whether theres anything you get early game (I'm level 30) that you should absolutely not dismantle, given that you can upgrade. Or as I think this suggests, given that epic is better than legendary... will everything have a chance of coming back late game? Any thoughts? Thanks for the great videos...
If I find a waist piece with 100% CRIT at full health and I sell or dismantle it will I have lessen my chance of getting other gear pieces with that same engraving?
If I sell or dismantle armor pieces, will they not be available for me to use as an aesthetic skin? The only legendary gear I use is nemean lion and dikastes.... And the 2 Hunter weapons from your 'best Hunter build' video (daggers/staff combo)
Achilles bow and Hades bow are also very good legendary items.

You can use your engravings infinitely often on hundreds of items.....

The 25% is your new full health. I have very long explained this fact in the video.
What do those dots mean beside the engravings and how do you make them have more dots? Im guessing more dots the better right?

If you play long enough you have more than enough anyway. Money cap is reached quickly, at that point you start dismantling.
If I’m level 53 and I’m getting epic gear that already come with like 10 or 12% crit chance engravings, do I keep them or try to put my own crit chance engravings to try and get 100%. And also should every single build have 100% crit chance?
Every good build has 100% Crit chance. You can upgrade every item to have max percentages at level 91, do not dismantle because of lower values. If they are good, keep them.

Because all damage is the last option to use on Torso.There is no crit chance available, only 50% Crit damage and poison damage. So if you do not want to make a poison build, then use 10% all damage and 50% crit damage on Torso.
a great explanation, but I have 1 question though... what do you do with common and rare items (weapons and gear) at level 99? Do you break down or sell them?
Sell them for money until you hit the money cap, if they are not unique, like the minotaur mace.
Completely new to odyssey... found this as I was looking for a guide on whether theres anything you get early game (I'm level 30) that you should absolutely not dismantle, given that you can upgrade. Or as I think this suggests, given that epic is better than legendary... will everything have a chance of coming back late game?

You could use the relatively bad Greek heroes set or just do a New game plus and get the javelin.

Did you buy all the engraving upgrades at Hephaistos workshop in Malis? That will cost you 10 million in total. Should keep you busy for a while.
