Reading & Northern 4-6-2 #425 powers the annual Mountain Top excursion sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mountain Top. In the morning, #425 ran downgrade to Jim Thorpe with a diesel being used for dynamic braking. On the return trip #425 ran solo, pulling the 8-car train up the grade with ease.
The whistle is a D&RGW 5-chime.

Excellent video, really enjoyed the views. Cheers from the UK
Wow this is awesome. That going away shot before Penobscot is spot on. Always great work. The train looks good without any tail car for a change.
Thanks, the LV/CNJ line is my favorite chase w/ 425.
That D&RGW 5 Chime on R&N #425 sounds like K-36 #482's whistle from the Durango & Silverton Railroad.
Great meeting you on this chase! Awesome video, cant wait for the DVD lol
Want a beautiful site and sound!!! Thank you for shearing!!! 💙🚂
This is a beautiful steam locomotive
That D&RGW 5 Chime is amazing awesome video as well
She would sound even more amazing with a whistle from her current home rails, a RDG 6-chime!
OldsVistaCruiser I agree but it’s still an amazing whistle
Awesome Video!
What if Norfolk Southern can support 425 in the future? I think it would be awesome after they get the ban on excursions revoked!
Nice video, good sound.👍🛤🚂🚃🚃🚃
Awesome video James. I'm surprised you were able to keep up with her well given how fast those trips run.
It wasn't easy... I just missed the train at White Haven on the return trip. It used to be easier, as they ran a bit slower back in the day.
Almost as beautiful as my grilfriend, the Qeeun Mary
