@@jadenquest9544 that’s crazy it says it came out on 4/19/2022 which was early this month, but this vid is from last year. I don’t understand. Was it out on another system first? Or was this video a super early review that Idea Factory/Nintendo allowed?! Anyway I see it, and it’s 49.99. I don’t know if I’d call that a sale but I definitely hearted it and it’s on my wishlist.

I'm just glad to be getting this game on the Switch, I'd like more Senran Kagura games on it. A little disappointed they don't have everyone though, but at least I can play as Homura and Miyabi. Also I wonder if that stat boost thing is gonna be as busted as Deep Crimson's was.

do they not have the ninja transformations in this? that was one of the things that made me fall in love with the senran kagura series. i love a good transformation, whether i'm transforming into a super saiyan or a busty ninja.

Considering this game is only on the PlayStation platform, it is clear what is lacking knowing the previous games from BOTH series.
Idea Factory needs to separate themselves from SONY and make a deal with Nintendo or go full PC platform so they can make the games the Developer wants to make.
But as long as they are making games on a PlayStation platform, they will be forced to appeal to SONY's Global Standards.
Thus is the reason why I feel the game was sadly lacking in the one area that made these two franchises awesome to begin with.
98% of all neptunia games are T-rated anyway so your comment doesnt apply to the situation of this game.
This was developed by Compile Heart, not HoneyParade Games, or Tamsoft. Its more of a Neptunia game than it is a Senran Kagura game, so really, it has nothing to do with Sony's standards. It's just a Neptunia game being what it typically is, there just happens to be Senran Kagura characters in it.
On PC, limited editions would become pointless to me since they don't even include the physical game. On Nintendo switch, the games would run at like 15fps. The only reason I even still bother with soystation is because I like to collect idea factory games. Hopefully if they make the move, it will be to switch and with performance optimisations so it's seamless.
@@Phillydreaming Nothing wrong with Idea Factory, I used to collect their games back when they used to have that partnership with NISA before the American localization branch screwed them over.
There are also some Idea Factory games I would love to get, but they were banned in my country like the Omega Labyrinth as well as the Mary Skelter finale game.
So I got what I could at the time on the PSP, PS3 and PS Vita platforms.
Loved the Agarest War series even though its Hard As F, but it was the Neptunia series that really made their games stand out for all the best reasons.

@@Scitch-et4vk because you can see the gameplay in the video, it's pretty simple. If i recall he talks a but about it. Saying there is no complicated combo, it's like a basic musou game.

Is the "comedy" long and drawn out in this or does it take a backseat to the story? I liked the first Neptunia for actually having a story with SOME comedy sprinkled in, but every game after that just had soooo much useless dialogue that moved nothing forward.

Huge fan of both franchises, but after watching a few reviews, this game makes me feel a little sad. Seems like it'd be such a no brainer, mashing these two up. But lack of characters, lack of fanservice (which I understand, it's a Nep game first done in Senran style). But I didn't see anywhere if there were different outfits you could unlock or customize? Is that at least in here? I loved switching up the outfits to keep things fresh in the Kagura games.
Iunno maybe I need to pick it up and give it a chance, but everything I'm seeing just seems like they had a great idea but didn't do anything with it. Like it's half a game or something.
Just played the first few hours and enjoyed the I never played neptunia but love senran Kagura this game removed the sexy mechanics in senran I am fine with except for the clothes ripping off and there is no alternative outfit that I know of.
No frantic mode either?
I hope this gets a pc port.

The only Senran Kagura game I liked was Peach Ball! The best Visual Novel/Pinball game ever made.

Yeah honestly i cant help but feel sad. we cant play as any of the goddesses little sisters or their friends nor the other hanzo, hebijo, or gessen girls. barely any cosmetic customization and also no outfit break. as degen as that sounds it would have been interesting to see the neptunia girls (excluding the obviously very small and young ones unless they can somehow not make that super weird which i heavily doubt) with they're own unique close up clothing breaks. Plus whats up with revamping the neptunia girls outfits but not the senran kagura girls? they had the chance to give them new outfits that actually look like something ninjas would wear. like they did for the neptunia girls. and no shinobi transformations? really?. transformations are a key point in both games but they arent in the crossover?. I mean we can play as the neptunia girls in their regular forms and transform into their goddess forms in the previous games and shinobi transformations in the kagura games were a pretty big part of the gameplay. i dont wanna say the game is unfinished but as a fan of both neptunia and senran kagura i feel a lot of missed potential. Hopefully the game will be updated and these changes come true but honestly i dont see that happening.
But hey, atleast the opening slaps.

7.5 seems too high for all the criticism you had for the game . This sounds like a 5/10 average game meant for the most hardcore fans .
If it comes to Switch or PC I might maybe consider it, but the PS exclusivity and the SK girls being toned down means a big fat NO for now. Sad. ☹️ I miss my Gessen girls! 🥺

@@nottomiokagiyu9830 It's not. Rated T. Only 4 SK girls. How am I lying? This is a highly toned down game, with little fan-service, certainly not any on the level of earlier SK games. The reason for this is because SK has been having problems with meeting Sony's regulations on depictions of girls, and Sony has been trying to re-shape the series as a more tame franchise "suitable" for Western audiences (something they've been doing with many anime titles on their platform), hence why the first SK-related title released on PS after Takaki's departure from Marvelous is rated T. Even SK7 had to be re-imagined according to Takaki because its original form was 'unacceptable' to the new stipulations on what sexual depictions were permissible. Of course their gauge for such things is completely subjective and hypocritical.. But this is why the SK franchise is currently in limbo and can't find a way forward on PS without sacrificing its soul and vision.

That would make this is the only "SK game" with no fanservice as well as with characters in 2D instead of 3D model in VN section. Like I said it's more of Nep game than SK game.
Every SK games always used 3D model even in the first game (SK Burst).
I would love to see Ikaruga, Yozakura. They share voice actor with some Nep characters.

Is this one censored? Or was the fanservice Senran Kagura is known for toned down in development in order to avoid censorship? Really wish devs would stop releasing games like this on Playstation. Make them for Switch or PC only. Obviously performance would be worse on Switch but at least the devs wouldn't have to neuter the game to appease the moral puritans at Sony.

It has been censored at the source. That's the technique they use nowadays : "look, it's the same than he JP version, because we forced the developers to censor the JP version."
