  • Hello friends,
you have landed on this fun area where you will learn a little bit about Autism and how the world around it is discovered.
Our daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2 with level 2 in both areas (communication and social) the levels can change during her lifetime anywhere from 1 to 3 with 3 needing the most support. She can be reevaluated at age 5 to see if anything has changed especially since she does receive therapy. She is verbal but has Hypotonia (low muscle tone) and has displayed signs of Pica (mouthing or eating of inedible items) which has fortunately become less and less. We share what we know and hope you enjoy with us these magical moments as well as learn a bit about autism yourself. Come along and learn how she interacts with these toys which are not necessarily specialty toys. She loves all things cute and girly. Being on the spectrum we never know what type of toy will be overwhelming or too much to process sensory wise. She was attending preschool and is now doing ABA therapy which has helped her make amazing strides forward.
You either like horses, dinosaurs, cats or puppies. Maybe you like them all because they are all cute and adorable toys and animals. We over here usually love them all as well but one of them is making us feel a little overstimulated, can you guess which toy or animal it is?
We only share a little bit of our day with you to give you an idea of highs and lows and how we navigate this world. Our lil one loves toys and animals like any other toddler and one thing we are really enjoying is getting her different toys that are not necessarily for special needs but that do otherwise cover lots of sensory needs. We hope to open your horizon to different things and learn something new about autism.
Today we have a cute rainbocorn puppycorn surprise egg, a smashers dino dig dinosaur surprise egg, a bunny cat squishmallow and a horse called Snickers. (NOT SPONSORED)
Come along as we take therapeutic horseback lessons (we waited one whole year to get a spot) since the horses have to be trained to do this special task. We also open all the other toys to make this a family friendly area for all to watch and learn together.

If you have a special needs child or any small child for that case please be very careful as this does contain small items that could pose a choking hazard. Having PICA as many children with autism do they mouth or eat inedible items. Always supervise children with dough or small items.
