Often, there are school productions performed by children that are great to watch.

My daughters and I read Mr. Popper's Penguin this year and watched the movie. It was a great choice. The One and only Ivan is also a great movie.
Just a teacher hack- craft stores sell matte finish spray that you can put on top of laminations to make them non-reflective.
