Some of the Best Tier 2 Units vs Some of the Worst Tier 3 units in HoMM3: HotA

Let's test how some of the best tier 3 units, such as Storm Elementals, Harpy Hags and Wolf Raiders and fare against some of the worst tier 3 units, such as Stone Golems, Armadillos, and Orcs. The tests include 100 weeks of growth, cost efficiency with army cost of 1.000.000 gold and 1 vs 1 battles.

Poor orcs: lost every single battle, including 1v1. At this point, you should compare them to T1 units instead

I like these but the faction battles are what I like to see more than anything

The issue with storm/ice elementals is that they are worse in melee than his unupgraded versión
They become ranged unit, so when engaged in melee they cause half of damage (so lesser damage in melee than his unupgraded version)
This is why i think storm/ice elementals should have no melee penalty.
Thanks for the comment. A valid point. Though, imo especially Storm Elemental ranged attack is so good, that weakness is ok for it :)
I think it was written in the original SoD that Storm Elementals (and maybe Ice?) had no melee penalty, but that wasn't true.
@crossmodulation9730 Could also have been intentional. Especially storm elementals would be ridiculously overpowers, if wasn't for melee penalty. I guess smth inbetween would be better, like instead of doing 50% damage in mele, replacing it to 75%.
On the other hand, they don't need it, bc it would lead to imbalance. The storm elementals are almost too powerful for T2

nice vid, have you played wog/era or just hota? if you run out of content for hota you can do same with wog/era units :D
Thanks for the comment. This far only the basic game and hota. Though, I plan to expand the repertoire at some point to other mods or HoMM5 :)

Poor stone golems. They're not supposed to be running across the map, poor dears! When the wolf riders had to come to them, well, goes to show!
Huh. The 1v1 actually went the way of the weaker tier at least once! That's kinda rare, or has been. I think? Twice? Thrice!? I'm going to stop counting.
Orcs are hot garbage. They shouldn't have a melee penalty, I agree with the other comment. I mean, they're swinging an axe! Axes are more melee than ranged weapons!

Wow, Orcs are WEAK.
IMO, they should've added No Melee Penalty for them in Hota.
They are Barbarians and logically should swing an axe just as hard as they throw it.

Cyclops shoul have get No Melee Penalty too, otherwise they are the weakest T6 unit in my opinion

Yes, but "limited tactics" are a deliberate feature of these videos. Otherwise, a single harpy hag could technically defeat 1000 stone golems; it would just take 8 hours.

@@Lesatu you have 100 rounds rule in actual game. And taking max size exp shop on hags is an actual strategy, btw )
