I use containers from Hellman's Mayonnaise (in the U.S.) to dispense the glue, which I buy in the large containers, and these have a very clever opening in the nozzle. It stays very clean and does not get clogged. I have students do method three, which is to squeeze a little glue from the mayo container onto a plastic lid, and they use flux brushes to apply the glue. These are not little, so you can't use method #1 with them.

You can water Weldbond down as it is very strong. Also if you leave 3-5mil around the edge when glueing tiles down, it leaves a gap for the Glass & tile Grout adhesive to grab the glass tile edge. A nice neat edge. Also don’t use Weldbond for exterior use when in the wet weather. In 2001 when I used to use it with my students I bought smaller bottles to decant it too, then the lids and bottles can be washed and kept clean.

Does WeldBond dry clear?
Yes,,,,,weld bond does dry clear. However, I had a test tile, 2 glass squares 1 inch pieces, they took one month to dry.
