More on the jihad. This is awesome, I read Dune like a lot of others in the 80’s when the movie came out. I never understood so much of the lore.

Bene Gesserit history is some of the best part of the Dune lore. Thanks for making this it's awesome. My Vote is for the guilds to round out the past history before getting deeper to let anyone who hasn't read it all front to back.

So, as group, are we including Brian's expanded books? I liked the house books, the jihad books and loved how he tied everything together Erumus and Duncan. Never got around to the school books, fell down the Neil Asher rabbit hole.

I get most of the information from the Dune Encyclopedia, which is contemporary with Frank Herbert himself. That also obviously means the newer lore is not in that book. So, yes, I am including pretty much all publications and other sources as possible material for the videos.

Why the speaker for the guild sent out reverend mother gaius helen mohiam from the throne room when the navigator met with the Emperor?
Did they not trust her? Or they didn't want her to see the navigator? Or her psychic abilities somehow affected the navigator?

Among other things, the navigators and the Bene Gesserit didn't get along. She was sent away because the emperor thought her presence might be disruptive to the guild delegation.
