- Spice is, without a doubt, one of the key elements from the entirety of the Dune universe. In this video we explore what this substance is, why it is so valuable, how it comes to exist and how it is extracted. Enjoy!!!

#Dune #SpiceMelange #DuneUniverse - Zábava
“the spice must flow” and “he who controls the spice, controls the universe.”
man....i can't wait for the new dune trailer! pls make more dune videos grim
There's no REAL reason for either line to be in the new version. Both were among the new things added for the David Lynch version.
I suppose I should then add that the David Lynch version has been incredibly influential, with things like the physical depictions of characters in it coming into the generally accepted version, despite having no roots in any of the books. (Particularly notable are Shaddam IV's neat little beard and the grotesque skin diseases of Baron Vladimir Harkonen, neither of which are mentioned in the book but are commonly included in depictions of both characters in other media following the movie. There's also a whole series of extremely impressive hats that have been designed for the Bene Geserit Reverend Mothers. I don't recall if they're even mentioned as wearing hats in the book, but they have some astonishing headgear in the David Lynch movie and later depictions In fact, while their hats were spectacular for 1984, they aren't a PATCH on what they've worn in more recent versions. The most striking feature of their heads in the David Lynch version is that they're bald as eggs, not even any stubble, while later versions include things like gold caps and huge wings.)
I look forward to the trailer as well.
The Likes must flow.

Dude. Am I just a supernerd or are you in my head? The amount of unique topics you cover that I also love is incredible.
Probably just common interests. I am also a nerd. Grew up with Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Dune. A lot of gaming similar to those as well.
A takes my vote for the next one. Really enjoyed the video grim I'm learning a lot about this universe through you so cheers

" most of you know what withdrawal is" lol ... Say no to drugs kids
Ahhh, Wars, Death and Cosmic Drama, all for...cosmic wormpoop...SEEMS LEGIT! I vote A.
only the best of worm poop.
All three choices are really good but I am going with option A. I know the books are very different but the 80's movie was my first entrance and still love it.
I vote A once again. Would really like to know more about the Spacing Guild.
May I suggest Dune´s way of warfare? A lot of interesting ideas and concepts there.
Yes the twisted nesesity is deeply interesting.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Great video. I love the Lynch Dune film, but I never agreed with his interpretation of spice operations. The brutality, yes. I always imagined Harkonnen spice operations would be exceedingly brutal, but also exceedingly greedy. Not a grain of Spice wasted. Because of this, I imagined their harvesters would actually be spotless, as anyone leaving with Spice in their garments or on their person would be accused of theft....from the Baron.
Makes a lot of sense actually.
Great. I really like your work on this series. I hope you'll continue working on it.
I was about to vote for the Spacing Guild as the next topic, but since you already covered Arrakis and the Spice Melange, it would make more sense to continue with a video on the Sandworms I guess.
Makes some sense, I guess.
Thank you for your time to make this. The spice must flow, shall we :)
Thank you for all of your hard work ^_^
So nice of you
loved this video! really well done!
Glad you liked it!!
Who controls the spice controls the universe.. Yeah, it is the ultimate resource. World and empire breaking mcguffin.
Let's conquer Arrakis and go full narcos with melange!
A]
Emperor Corrino Escobar.

Vote option B.
The world of Dune is vast and expands far beyond Dune itself. Exploring the Bene Gesserit will help introduce some of the story of the first book and the wider universe outside of the planet itself.
Thanks for the vote.
Shai Halud...how can one *not* wish to learn more of the Maker (and for the miners-destroyer)? It is the way...forward😊
Grim dark narrator. Is awesome 💗 the lore &vids
Thank you.
Interesting, I am going to have to go with C need to know about the lifecycle of these beasts.
Shai Hulud appreciates the vote.
Please continue with Dune videos!
I did over 40 of them.
great job sir
Thank you.
Your gonna need to cover the reverent mothers and shai hulud too. Oh and the artificial adrenalin based "spice" the honored maatrey use after the scattering.
My vote is for the old man of the desert C
I have to cover a lot of things. Hopefully the series survives to that point.
@@GrimDarkNarrator I would love it if they are a bit longer. It would be a ok with me if you added some of you own musings in as commentary on some of things. Dune has a lot of backstory and lore to explore. Another interesting one was the amber chronicles.
_The Spice…the Spice Melange_
a: spacing guild.
Shai Hulud appreciates the vote.
Again, I will vote for the Spacing Guild. Their unique ability to travel through interstellar space without illegal technology makes them critically important.
Shai Hulud appreciates the vote.
Imho the sandworms could be covered at any point prior to Paul Atreides taking his massive dose of Melange. The Bene Gesserit need covering soon to explain Jessica and the breeding programme they had come up with to produce the Quizzatch Hadderach (spelling? Ahhhhh!!). But the Spacing Guild is essential before we move further into the lore. So A. 😎

Short Answer :Highly addictive Worm poop
Loving the dune content. Option C, more worms more better, although all of the options would get a vote.
Shai Hulud is grateful for the vote.

You sound like a South Park character...
Are we sure this is not LSD?
... well, LSD does not increase your life span, make you healthier or smarter.
So nope, sorry.
Space LSD that gives you superhuman abilities.
@Lassi Kinnunen Add in the fact the story is being told from the point of view of leaders who kill a lot of people an it starts to make a little more sense.
@@GrimDarkNarrator Hey the people in the Nic Cage movie Mandy are convinced they have super powers becausethe LSD is so good.
