    Thanks. That sheaded some light on a jacket I just bought. I was worried it was fake, but I'm pretty sure now that it's real lambskin.

      Chances are you've already figured it out, but whenever you want to make sure something is made of real leather, just pour 1 drop of water & it will absorb

      i dont know which leather jacket i should buy, lamb or cow or even horse. The fashion designers use lamb all the time while an oldschool biker jacket will use cow or horse, i dont know

    • @petelebu
      @petelebu Před 7 lety +4

      if you want it to last, horse, if you want it for comfort, lamb, durability goes in this order horse, cow, lamb, softness goes in this order, goat, cow, horse, so if you want comfort go for goat, durability , horse, a combination of both, good full grain cow leather.

    Can I wear an “udo waxed lambskin leather” jacket in the rain, and will it wear out and look like a worn out, great fitting leather jacket, or will it stay all shiny and luxurious looking? I want it to wear out.

    I want to make headband, and it's difficult to find thin and light leather for this project. It has to real leather to avoid harm the scalp and allow breathing. How about goat skin? It's being difficult to find videos on leathers.

    " a lamb is smaller than a cow..." wow, amazing information Sherlock.

    • @KarensYoutubeChannel
      @KarensYoutubeChannel Před 5 lety +2

      But many people don't equate the skin to the animal. Was the cowhide as big as a cow? Still, his point that lambs are smaller therefore a whole hide will be "small" is well taken. Like, if you're into making clothes with leather that's important. Cutting it, thinning it, softening it...all that craftsmanship and skill is why I love wearing a buttery soft leather coat. When cowhide is as thin as lambskin after its worked. That's art. Hope you appreciate that art.
