- In early 2018, a few months before Ultimate Custom Night was released, a little FNAF fan game came out. It was called Dormitabis. Large creators like Markiplier and Dawko featured the game on their channels. It went on to become infamous in the FNAF community for its interesting writing and creator. It advertised itself as one game yet had two games worth of lore. Dormitabis is still remembered today because it wasn’t like other FNAF fan games, and recently, a remastered edition made independent of the original creator was released. Does Dormitabis Remastered fix its predecessor? Hi, I’m Johnny the Night Guard, I like FNAF and I stream games like this starting at 6 PM Central on Fridays. There's another reason this game got a remake, the story itself, which I'll let others find out about through their own research as it is the biggest reason for why this game was remade.
Really weird that this guy totally glossed over that aspect of the original, considering that seemed to be what most people took an issue with.

I think the characters and such look so outrageous because the game take place in basically a "dream".
When you remember a dream, you realize that the world you dreamt of was distorted and out of place. That's the only excuse I could think of.

Wow… it’s beautiful, it takes the strengths of the unique gameplay mechanics and terrifying setting, background, and art style of Dormitabis and plays to them flawlessly while mitigating the… obvious weaknesses.
Yes this game is better, and they made garvey a proper character with a better storyline

can i just say thank you for making a video about this game that isnt plastered in bias because of the stuff the creator did and the weird direction of the original's story, its very refreshing to see somebody talk about this game without shitting on it unjustly or bringing up all that other stuff

So the lore after Fnaf 4 already existed when the game was being made?
Okay now I truly see how BAD this game's story really was.
Like I knew it was BAD already, but like I remember vividly back in the FNAF 2/3 era that there WAS speculation on the Purple guy maybe being a Pdf file because of the lack of motive or identity on him back then and the short film made by IRON HORSE CINEMA.
I assumed that the game's story atleast partially came from that era's mindset (which does not excuse him inserting his own fantasies into the game)
But knowing that ALL of this fnaf lore, that completely disproved this speculation, already existed at that time and the creator still chose to ignore all of it, JUST so he could insert that stuff into his game makes it so much worse....

To be honest, I never really payed attention to the story of the original Dormitabis, which, was probably a good thing.

In my opinion og dormitabis much better. Lore was not so idiotic like in og fnaf or anyother game like tjoc. It also had something like remnant but it at least has reason to exist unlike in fnaf,Also og Garvey was killing and torturing only John's friends and now he killing literally everyone. And remastered removed cley like graphic with green filter. Thats very mid

Fun Fact: They got Garvey's original voice actor and he sounds much better. His voice acting has improved and he has better dialogue to work with rather than imitate The Joker.
Honestly fnaf isn't my main hyper fixation anymore but this is really fun to watch
you need to collect every tape for the good ending, and the tapes were the most contreversial about the original dormitabis

I actually really like the renders for this game. I think it's meant to look like claymation which I think it does well to a certain extent.
I will always love the concepts and ideas of dormitabis but this improves them a bit better sure some of the things can’t be replicated as well from the original but besides that it’s pretty good
