- The Animatronic Pizzeria that was Almost forgotten, also known as Pizza Showtime
A couple weeks ago, I was watching "What Happened to Five Nights at Freddy’s?", by @jerichode (which is a fantastic video that you can find linked in the description), and he mentioned this old Australian animatronic restaurant that pretty much everyone forgot about: Pizza Showtime. Pizza Showtime was formerly located in Perth, Australia's Grand Theatre, and was open from the year 1980 to 1984.
The article: theworstofperth.com/2009/03/2...
You can find all of my sources/footage used here, including Jerichode 's great video on FNAF: drive.google.com/file/d/1c2bT...
This channel takes heavy inspiration from ID's Fantasy, Pastra, Ryetoast, Fuhnaff, Game Theory, Dawko, Shycrow, Uhyeah, and many others, if you like my content, you'll love theirs :) - Hry
I’m a mega fan of pizza showtime and the one person who has the most info and photos of the place. You got a couple things wrong, but still a really amazing video. The koala sisters, there was actually 3 not 2. And jack Thompson didn’t voice Bert he actually voiced ringo dingo on the wall. Also you got the kangaroos names mixed up, the Joey is in the piano and melton pom is the one playing the piano. And I have some further info. After the place closed an Asian food hall was put in the old theatre and was there for a few years. Also the bots sat in the restaurant until 1986 actually. It took them extra long to remove so you could’ve gone to the food hall and seen a stage with closed curtains for a while. As for when it was open, it was actually 2 stories. Bottom story had the restaurant, a couple cocktail table arcade machines, and the band. The second story had all different kinds of arcade stuff. And if your wondering, the “wolf” walkaround is actually Bert newhound. He just had different fur for….. some reason? Also, a lot more media and merch was made for the place other then that token, there’s hats, coupons, balloons, and a ton more. Also, the rolling gnomes that we’re performing had some differences to pizza showtime. The bear, he had gloves on in the rolling gnomes and he had claws in pizza showtime. Also Bert I’m pretty sure had a different hat in pizza showtime. You could also see melton poms piano but instead of a Joey popping out they had retrofitted it so a troll would pop out.
Edit: if anyone would like some more info on the place, I’ll message privately or something idk.
Dou you have more info?
Yo can I have some more info
please tell us more! it sounds so cool!
My dad went here, sadly he was too young to remember much. Sad to see the only animatronic band in my state is gone:(
Glad to see more obscure animatronic shows like this, lots of these types of shows are always getting overlooked by popular bands like Chuck E Cheese and the Rock afire Explosion. Hopefully we'll get footage of Pizza Showtime's show eventually, the clip at the end solidifies the owner's claim that their characters rivaled Disney as far as movements go.
If you'd like more mysterious animatronic bands, I suggest checking out Ghost Town in the Sky's Country Critters Jamboree and the infamous Boomis Pizza Fiesta that was in Mexico for a time. There are still bits and pieces missing from both of those and they were/are both abandoned at one point
This is certainly interesting. I like how you tied real life events to FNAF! Your content keeps getting better, have a wonderful GodBlessed Day!
Thanks! Glad you like the slight shift in focus
alright, so we go from memes, to meme documentaries, to FNAF content, to actual animatronic pizza place ala CEC or Showbiz Pizza content
again, not complaining i love learning about real bots and pizza places
They are so fun to learn about. I agree
We need a video based off of the Mexican Ripoff of CEC, Chucky Cheeze!
3:48 the horse being called Ned Kelly is based off how the famous Outback outlaw was first a horse robber before becoming famous
its so strange. why wouldnt there be videos? like not even the news talking about the place and showing clips? anyways this kind of enhances the horror of fnaf by knowing scott was inspired by stories like this. i hope someone makes a fangame about this restaurant. i would make it but im not skilled enough in 3d modeling to be able to make a replica and im not very creative for game mechanic ideas.
This is a perfect concept for a fnaf fan game
It kind of is though
Love the content mate keep it up
I think this pizzeria became forgotten because they shut it down after the bite of 83 happend and someone said *WAS THAT THE BITE OF 87!*
*I thought I was the only one with this theory* 😱
Are you stupid?
Just because it’s animatronics doesn’t equal fnaf.
Or someone in mascot suit murdered 5 kids there and stuffed their bodies in the animatronics
Unfunny.
@@babyboy_336elgran2 I think I heavily agree
That's...intresting... i've never heard about this pizzeria. Really cool vid exactly like the others! Keep up the good work!
Did he say tall Gregory
I love mysterious pizza places like this.
But why have I never heard of this place before?
Glad to say that I went here. This was from a time before even something as ubiquitous today as pizza was really a thing here. It was the first time I had savoured the smell of a pizzeria and this is my fondest memory of the place rather than the animatronic puppets.
FNAF: This can literally not get any weirder
Pizza Showtime: It can get weirder!
All jokes aside, I didn't know that this existed. All I knew was Showbiz Pizza and Rock-a-Fire Explosion existed and Chuck E. Chesse took thier place.
It’s crazy how something like this could stay so undocumented

I can finally die happy knowing that this little pizzeria that was forgotten was covered in a youtube video.
Its really cool how you learned more about the real Animatronic
I would love a video on the full history of animatronic entertainment!
Good job Dude
Yeah I also wandered what it was thanks for the video!
I just hate that this never became a thing in the UK (where I live). It wouldn't even have to be a Pizzeria, Pubs are popular food places for people to take their kids to over here (since we have grown up and kids menus in most), so an Animatronic Pub could have worked. I do see animatronics during Christmas time at a local garden centre though. The animatronics I see is a trio of Penguins singing Christmas songs, as well as a talking Reindeer.
I also didn't know they existed here, but I recently found out that in 2007, a fairly short-lived restaurant opened in the UK called Hannah Banana, featuring their Welsh monkey mascot Hannah Banana (a modified Mitzi Mozzarella animatronic with an added tail) as well as Billy Bob and Looney Bird from The Rock-afire Explosion.
Unfortunately I couldn't find too much footage of this place on CZcams, but I'd say it's still well worth looking up if you're interested! :)
If you are looking for footage of pizza showtime, there was definitely a commercial for it on Perth tv (i faintly remember the jingle). I've seen some yt channels that feature commercials taped in the 80s from the two commercial tv stations 7 and 9. Perhaps you'll get lucky.
NAUR
such inspirational words❤❤❤
Maybe sometime someone found a live fed of Pizza Showtime and see the animatronics in their show.
i wonder why it shut down?
Some kid got crushed by one of the animatronics and died
wanted to say if there was more videos about pizza showtime. but this is the only video that I found. why is no footage or news reports of this
This is very crazy
Alright, who's gonna take the fall and make a FNaF fan-game based off this?
I loved Pizza Showtime as a kid.. Great, although faint memories..
I think they reused the piano from the Joey the kangaroo animatronic and used it for The Rolling Gnomes.
Let's be honest, this would make a great concept for a FNAF fangame.
Life flashing before my eyes be like
Yes
This a very good video you did a good job with your research. Believe it or not there are ainmtroics even more obscure than this. Isuggets you watch the animteoics bands ice berg video
chuck sent me this
5:57 - 6:11 What does his Voice sound like?
Tiki Room opened in 1963, not 1971

we dont talk about pizza showtime. If you do HE'LL bring a salad
As soon as he started talking about Perth my heart dropped because we are now actually known for something 😂😂😂 no one ever comes here because there is nothing to see😂😂also no one ever talks about us even though we are a state capital
Keep in mind it's game only
Hey did you know the rolling gnomes were sent out to a theme park called story land exept the bear and the trolls
