Parts list in the description! Some substitutions have been for your benefit (the motors linked here have keyways filed in already, batteries are even higher discharge, VESC speed controllers and trucks are higher quality).
Tutorial Video???
what belt do you use 12mm or 15mm?
and what gearing
There is probably no way you would make more of these to sell them? I am really interested in a board as strong as this one. If you have used 2 motors of 3600W, it means that the board has 6800W ' under the hood', which is 9.1 HP. It would be fantastic to have it limited at a 30 MPH topspeed and use the rest of the power of the engines for the hill climbing, simply because no one wants to walk up a hill if you have an electric skateboard.
Simpler text: will you make more of these? I would be very interested and it would be a no-doubt situation for me if it would be sold for less than 1000 USD.
Did you care to look at the parts list and how much everything would cost? Your $1000 request is a bit laughable no offense.
I'm local in Seattle and am more than willing to full throttle test it for you. Very experienced in longboarding. Regularly go 40-65mph
Get some good insurance. lol
DO IT
Send it dude. Sub'd for this
I wanna see you do it fam. Just subbed
This board will not go that fast. Probably around 30 mph.
I'm 57yrs. old. been skating for over 50 yrs. with the best skaters around. always a need for speed with no fear. had a few downhill runs of over 80mph. fastest 86.7 when a cop gave me a speeding ticket. had a weedeater skate back in the late 80's. went 30-35. wanted to find another. maybe because I'm impatient I couldn't find one with the same qualities, small engine, SIMPLE, fast etc.. did I say I was impatient? ok. came across DIY video. HAD to get it. I GOT IT! DUAL MOTORS. I put the skate together with my own deck with a kick tail. needed this because I wanted to have more control. the only problem I had and have now is to program the motors. did I say I was an 'eddiot' (my name is eddie)on the computer. I brought the board to a computer store and this young kid hooked it up. did he ever! first I found out how much power it has. next, how much acceleratation. they say that they couldn't find arider to go open throttle. I know why. I only got up to 45 and still had throttle left. hell, you can be going 25 and punch it and still fly off the back. oh yeah, impatient so I didn't read much. found out it has a brake. if I knew that I wouldn't have got that ticket running the red light. I'll post a video soon. eveready..
where is the video?
cricket
Assuming the video didn't go well??
You didnt post shit edward maclerdo
Can you please make a viedeo how to build one? Would be great thx 👍
or a parts list please.
Was just gonna write that as well. Thanks, John.

I will be doing doing a tutorial soon if all things go well!
@@natewake5510 update us here!! Subscribed for future reference
This inspired me on my build. 1 year in and I still cant do full throttle either. Its a beast. I do have 1 important recommendation. Make sure you run auxiliary 12s to 5v type sbec to power your RX / direct from your batteries because 60% throttle can cause the VESC to drop the 5v below your RX's threshold and force it into fail safe. Fail safe on my RX keeps the last commanded throttle signal for 1 full second before shutting down. In my case it was still flying in the air at 30mph before it cut off. I was tore up for a few weeks. Def glad I wore a helmet!
I can't believe, I watched this video on the first week it was uploaded and at the time had myself a Boosted Mini X. Now im riding a Diy board i build a 12s 6p setup with 6374 dual motors with a top speed of 45mph. Im also running All Terrain tires 200mm X 50mm.
Man, at 2:23 you answered so many of my questions. There seems to be such a range of performance on different boards with similar motor wattage and voltage levels, so the differences really might just be all in the battery/esc setup.
Ok ladies and gents get ready for the closest thing to a full tutorial that youll get. Ive suffered through this, being my first build as well. All those parts that they have up there? Solid, the description stuff is going to be what you want. Specific things that you will need additionally.
MOST PARTS IN DESCRIPTION
Y-connectors for connecting batteries
a tool to charge the lipos (these need to be wired in series)
a Y-connector for the VESCs (VESC is short for Vsome-dudes-name Electrical Speed Control)
3.5mm male bullets to 4mm bullets adaptors(these are the VESC pieces that connect to the engine, theyre not the same size)
Saturing capabilities and equipment
lots of time on youtube tutorials
Basically what your going to want to do is get all of the things that they have linked in the description as well as each of the things that I listed above. Major things to look out for, make sure the engine you get is 8mm because that is the size of the mounting piece, you could probably just go to torque board and get their engines over hobbyskys. Once you have each piece you connect 2 of the batteries together creating 1 cell and wire up the remaining 2 cells to form another. Use the XT60 (yellow connector) for this as it is what the VESC uses. An additional note, buying the focbox unity will work better since it can run two motors with a single connection, eliminating some steps. Once you have your batteries set up, you will need a way to charge them. I cant help you if you want to use a BMS but another option is a hobby device that charges these batteries individually. Once you have your batteries set up, connect them with the Y connectors to form your cell. The board mounting kit etc will have other videos explaining them. Take the cells (2 sets of two if you get the vesc and 1 set of 4 if you get the unity) and attach the receiver node that comes with the controller to the small black piece that extends off of the ESC, with two VESCs you will need to place a Y-connector from one to another THEN connect the receiver to the new piece. The next part that youll have an issue with is connecting the engine to the VESCs. Youre going to need to get 3.5mm male bullets to 4mm female bullets if you use their listed parts. Now your engine is connected to the VESCs that are connected together by a Y-cable that connects to the black pieces off of both, each of these are powered by 2 sets of 2 connected 5Ah 50c batteries. Watch a video about how to mount your motor to the board.
I got this information the hard way and I only hope to help someone in the future so that they will not have my experience.
Additionally you’ll need to route all your batteries in one massive series battery. You’re going to need to look at skatemetrics foosted build and there’s a diagram that shows what your going to want to build when attaching the batteries to the engines
Thank you very much!! You really helped me)
@@caylinnimmo4470 great job explaining this! how do u like the board after using it for 5 months?
@Paul Vu maybe 600euros
This is an old comment but I’ve stopped using it almost immediately. There’s a reason that these guys don’t ride it and it’s a good one. I topped out a little over 40 before deciding that I not worth it to go any further.
For those that are interested in having the fastest thing available here you are but it’s not useful for anything else. I’ve never even attempted to test the range but at full output I’d say between 2-5 miles. It’s definitely everything that they’ve pointed out and more, having used it full throttle I can personally attest to this. Feel free to build this board but be warned, there’s a large price tag and a lot of other boards that I would highly suggest purchasing first. Imagine being strapped to a rocket that you can easily fall off of....
Now that’s what I’m talking about!
What a great video 👍 11/10
Skate metric a parts list would be great for me as I’m lookin to build one. And a mountain board . Thanks guys board looks and performs really well👍🏽
FPV FREAKY same
It's in the description.
When I watched the video it didn’t but thank you
Yea a electric mountain bored that would be awsome with the same speed an toque
Sam Moe yeah I’ve odered my motors and esc,s for my mountain board build. I’ve started modding my board already I might make a CZcams video not sure .? What do you recon.? Should I.?
“no one has full throttled it yet”
*hold my beer*
I love the build, but I would recommend giving a dual diagonal setup a try. That means putting one of those massive motors on the front truck driving one wheel, and the other on the rear truck driving the opposite wheel. Much like an all wheel drive car, this configuration offers greater stability, smoother braking and acceleration. Give it a go! It might be able to tame this rear wheel drive monster.
If you're selling I'm buying
I would really love to have one of those bords and I would go full throttle.
50 miles an hour sounds fun
i guess laying in a hospital bed to you sounds fun too i guess
This was a wonderful comparison! Production board vs DIY, when it comes to high performance and speed, marks usually will go to the DIY board. That's not to say that a production board like a Boosted is bad however. My favorite metaphor would be like buying a Toyota Camry vs a modified Mustang. The Toyota Camry is more turn-key and works great however will not always be the most exciting in regards to performance. The modified Mustang can hit crazy speeds but will take much more maintenance and tuning to be sure it's always in good shape. I look forward to seeing more from you guys. I thought this review was just what the esk8 community needed. It was very polished, full of scentific information, and yet very entertaining. New sub here 😁

Very true!
You do have a point. The electronics/motor in a diy board a phenomenal bullet proof. The problem I seem to be having are with one the actual wheels (never run true) the motor mount Currently using the torque board with the 4 5m screw looks great 👍 but it’s junk. Screws cut into the truck and comes undone ever third ride.
Can’t wait to get my diy board on the road again
The thing is though that this is soooo much simpler than a car. Most people can manage to fix it if anything does go wrong. Plus if you build it right with the right parts, its most likely gonna outlast a prebuilt.
i`ve build one after watching this video. Parts list: dual motor mechanical kit from diyelectricskateboard, 2x vesc 4.12, 2x 6374 192KV outrunners, 4x 3S 60C 6000mAh Lipos, 12S BMS. This thing was even faster than I expected. One time I got speed wobbles close to 40mph, disclocated/broke my left shoulder and had to get surgery done by a specialist, great fun! I have detailed pictures of the build, PM me if you are interested.
This channel deserves more attention
Is there any chance to get a layout on how you wired the hole build? Especially on how to connect 2 VESCs and bypassing a 12S BMS with Lipos.
Yes please!!!
Definitely need a build video for this... Also if you can do something similar but a little more budget friendly.
Awesome.
50mph that is insane! Also kudos to you guys for being all smart an stuff
Where are you located? On a good day with enough room I would volunteer to do some full speed tests. I am in Olympia Washington..
Seattle
Please make a instructional video on how to make this board with the products listed in the description
The MBS wheels made me watch, and your genius made me subscribe.
I need this in my life.
@@NiSiRewinD
Honestly, I could agree about the motor mounting position, mounting above-deck could be better, but then you have to figure out how those belts are going to stay tensed without snapping, as that could be catastrophic at sixty MPH.
The LiPos are certainly a big concern here, and need to be well protected, but I've also seen those little bois get abuse in RC Stadium Super Trucks that (actual speed) go faster than this board does. So semi-adequate protection like they have here goes a long way.
But I'd protect them more, because we're talking high-speed here, and that always does fun things.
WHAAAAAAT?!?!
YOU ONLY HAVE 3.4K SUBS!?!
DUDE I THOUGHT U WERE LIKE A FAMOUS CZcams CHANNEL

AMAZING AMAZING VID
shame you dont ride it anymore looks like a lot of fun ! I want one
Can't wait for you to post the parts list!
This was the board I considered the standard when I started on my own build. 12s4P 40T cells, 100A vesc6-based esc, dual 6380 170kv motors, and gearing has it limited to 43 mph. I've hit 40.8 🤪
Why, just why?!?!?
YES, videos like this are amazing! Great work!!
I got terrified just watching this video... 50mph?? DAMN DANIEL
Nice video man, subbed. Looking forward to content. I have just built a sk3 6374 powered board and my tourqboards vesc blew out and my hobbyking vesc blew out as well. Looking forward to installing my focbox.
Thanks! Hopefully your VESCs didn't cause any serious injuries when they failed. I got tossed pretty hard by the blown VESC in the video, so I'd say it's definitely a good idea to buy something with a proper heatsink, like a FOCBOX.
Can yu guys make a video of the 12s battery and bms bypass hook up
Check the video in my ESKATE playlist to see how to wire up the 12s if you haven't seen it already :)
Idk if the BMS is in that... but you can see
What is your VESC replacement because the link gives a 404 error

Same here thats the only part i need to order but not sure what to get that will work and not over heat
Sean Vazquez yeah same
I've spent some time reading this comment section,I think this is the link to the VESC...www.enertionboards.com/focbox-speed-controller/focbox-unity-dual-motor-foc-controller-esc/
You guys are my favorite eskate channel. Why did ya'll stop making new videos? I think I watched this video and the foosted video like 100x each.
Just ordered my wowgo 2s today...
Your board is sick! Would love half that power on a board.
Thx for the vid!!
I have a similar setup. Dual 6374 sk3 16/32 gearing 97mm abecs. Top speed is around 43 mph with 180 lb rider. Wind resistance is a major factor when trying to achieve high speeds.
Wow that's crazy awesome!!!! Please have the build video!!!!!
just saw both of your videos, keep going they are great, you should soon have many more subscribers!. Really amazing board this one, crazy!
Thanks! We've got Boosted Stealth and Mini X boards on order and a WowGo 2s in the mail, as well as a new shortboard DIY project in the works. Lots of fun ahead :D.
You should come back to this board
I subbed, please post more videos on this build and a full parts list. Also the gearing and how you did the bypass. I live in Miami and I use my boosted board a lot to travel and it’s just to slow wit very little mileage. I’ll love to give this a try. Thank again and I’m looking forward to the future !
Wanna improve traction? Easy. Make it 4wd
Instead of 2 motors to 2 rears, go for 1 motor for both rears and 1 for both fronts
@@wrth or 4 motors one for each wheel just like all the best electric cars. This would also add the ability to do a simple gyro based traction control system although that could likely work pretty well on their rwd version as well. Anyone familiar with a little arduino and pid loop programming could get one going for litteraly a couple dollars and without too much effort. The real problem would be finding someone dumb enough to ride it for the tuning process. (With that said I'd be dumb enough)
I think the reason most people avoid this is because putting excessive force pulling the front wheels forward will inevitably limit your ability to apply force when maneuvers are required. If all you wanted to do was go in a strait line this would be great
Jordan Szejer I'm currently putting together an AWD setup using two Boundmotor direct drive units. Both are double kingpin trucks, and I'm using a Waterborne Surf adapter kit as well. Doubt I'll have any trouble turning, plus I'm going to program the VESCs to have a 40/60 power distribution to help prevent traction issues.
Neat DIY. There's no way that hill is close to 44% grade though, considering the world record for a residential street is in the 35-37 range ;)
Would love a walk through of how to go about building your monster of a DIY e-board. Looking to get into this for commuting and would love to keep up with traffic up Seattle hills.
MORE OF THIS BOARD !!!
Nice and loving the UW shots
I think you should find a massive open space and coffin it full throttle
DaViciousBen exactly what I was thinking, lower center of gravity should make people feel safer
That’s ace 😎👍🏻
Subbed! Really interested on this build and wanting to learn how to diy my own board looking forward on your videos
Syrus Bakkar still trying to hustle that guide, huh? lol
nice build
Where can I find a video of wiring? I’m about to pull the trigger an order everything but I’m nervous
that back motor thing looks pretty weak to hits
can you make another video on this board please. it looks so cool
can you do a video on how to wire a bms to a 3 or 4 pack configuration
Wow that's pretty insane... super cool
Guys I know you want to bring value but please bring also the parts that you have used on the link
no doubt the board is more powerful than anything else. The tests in the video are on a wet road. Would be cool to see how well the motors perform in better conditions and if improving the board will improve overall stability, such as higher grit grip tape and a harder bushing. I see in the description the board is using some venom cones bushings. i would have went with tall barrels.
You guys should add off-road tires and make it a mountain board
hello , can you try and do a electric inline skate. it would be even more stable with more speed applied. it would be a great content for this channel 😄😄😄😄
I’d love to build this! I’ve done 60mph riding just a regular downhill board, so I want to see how I’d handle that thing.
Your videos are fucking amazing make more!!! Especially about this MONSTER
Thanks for using a volador deck, i have one and they are the best budget longboards out there
well done guys this looks amazing but whats the battery specs and gearing?
I wouldn't mind riding with you guys on my ebike once in a while. I uhhh... May overdo my builds as well.
Please make a how-to build video for this board. I downhill skate and am confident that with modification I could get the full use of the motor's power.
Come to Yorkshire, there's a hill for everyone here
Please please please come out with a tutorial for this board soon
I want to build the beast. Any chance of a total parts list and step-by-step?
Rain does not stop these guys. Cell phones measuring angles and all lol
This board needs to race a Long Haired Boy!
you should let a professional down hill longboarder ride it, I'm sure they'll push it to it's limits considering the world record is some where around 90mph
still sounds sketchy af. especially since its not gravity pushing you.
@@madisonfilan6190 even so, the fastest anyone has gone on an electric skateboard is 59 mph
@@madisonfilan6190 I bombed hills before , in my experience even a cheap motor will push you faster than riding on a fairly steep hill, but if the pro longboarder wants to do it id definitly wanna see it :D
make a tutorial on builing it
Give one to Casey :D
put 2 more
motors in the front
Check out the miles dual, I think it may blow you away for the size, power, weight, range, and price
The VESC link in the comments is dead?
How is this build holding up?
yeah that craps all over my hummer e-skateboard. At least you showed me where to ride around seattle, looks like under Aurora bridge there. My video shows my beast.. not fast but you can see why.
We should start a board cruise and get as many people onboard.
Paul from Michigan, can you create a setup like that for a mountain board that's what I want electrify I appreciate I answer back thank you.
I hope one day electric skateboard comes with 4wd, slip differential, pcm with sensors to apply abs and power tuning, rpm meter, a set of rubber tires, adjustable suspension for comfort and handling and rechargable battery. Sell it with a bag that could hold that heavy board with a special compartment for battery charging and produce massively for spareparts and cheaper retail price. I would daily this board over any car, please take my idea into consideration. 😂😂😂
super wicked video guys! subbed!
Its always rainy in Seattle
Subscribed and ready for more!
This is wild, I just bought a boosted bored
Crazy build
I have almost the same build
12s4p batter two vescs
6355 Dual 7020watt motors
But the belts are the problem
They don’t stay that long till they break
Try an idler. it helped me
Same things happening for me :(
David Rier actually I tried that too but yea still not that long
Buut I got chains so they are perfect
Upgrade to 20 mm belts or even go to chains (even though it's tough to find sprockets in small sizes fitting polyurethane wheels)
Hey guys, I really appreciate these vids but would be extremely grateful if you could tell me how you wired the 4 batteries. I ordered all the parts but am stuck on how to wire this beast. Please could you give a quick rundown on the battery setup??
Why don’t you put some super soft wheels, or bolt a second set of wheels outside the rear wheels to make them double wide?
Nice vid! I've a 10s4p single 6374 with huge torque gearing (15/42), 83mm, 190Kv. 5-20mph it completly smokes a Meepo, obviously. I wanted to build a torque monster. I'm more curious about how you're riding in the wettest conditions Ive ever seen an eBoard in!!? Ive a rubber gasket around the enclosure but I'm still terrified to fry something in the wet. How are you so sealed?!
The electronics were sprayed with silicone conformal spray.
That is genius!
How did you like the performance of the one you built? I am might going to make one my self.. Can't decide to go single or double motor, any suggestion?! Its always fun with power ! and lastly how wide is your belt ? are they wearing out quick?
Mine goes as fast as I'd ever feel comforatable. 10s4p is plenty. Single motor is about £250 cheaper (Focbox £110, Motor £80, Motor mounts/pulleys etc £50-80 and you'll need double everything). Mine is single and its hardly ever an issue. Belt is 15mm. Aint broken yet. Only £8 anyway. Wheel pulley size and wheel size can massively dictate the torque or top end speed. 36teeth with 100mm wheels will do 30mph but not a huge amount of torque. 42teeth and 83mm wheels on mine leaps off the line and destroys Boosted Board Dual+ and Meepo etc and will climb any hill on the planet. Top end is only 22mph though due to the gearing.
Amelia Records wow that's great. Do you miss any higher top speed? Do you use 83mm wheels? And where did you get Pulleys from, ebay? A lot of questions but thanks for helping me. Out! 👍🏻
It seems the last two parts in your parts list aren’t t active links any longer
So was just a little curious how you programmed your speed ramp step or did you alter your current control for the gradual acceleration.
I have four of those motors that just showed up at my door recently..... I have plans.
ill buy one
This was well done. I would have liked to see some 'metrics' on the board, like its watt usage and current draw. I think you need to find some bigger stickier wheels for it to get more out of it.
futuramanut it's been scrapped, so that won't happen anytime soon, unfortunately. Next time lol...
Its been 2yrs. When is monsoon season going to end so we can see it on dry pavement?
Hmmm, now that I'm 65 and have a bad leg, something like this makes sense! I'd probably start with 2s Lipo batteries and upgrade to 3s later.
Oh and as a by the way, the • VESC (2x): @t link gives a 404 error.
Must have!!!!
Yo this is the board i want to build
Li Po's are no joke.
This is a great build I wish I had it but can't afford an eboard at the moment. I've built a board with my friend 4 years ago that did 40 or so but my setup was just terrible it was highly unpredictable. I probably can Max out the setup you have there I would just need to know how to build it.
I have wanted to build one for years best video ive seen wish the parts list was up to date ordering everything but the vesc page doesnt work
awesome vid, can you pls upload a spec list?
You guys should make a 4wd board
