One thing I admire about Mariah is that although she’s arguably the greatest singer-songwriter of all time she still exudes femininity and girliness. She’s always well lit, in glam, and has always been articulate and well mannered. I had the pleasure of meeting her during a press junket late last year and she was so humble and gracious to our entire team. Her beauty truly shines from the inside out! ♥

Fascinating to see the changes in her face. Nothing has been overdone.
She doesn't look terrible but her face (cheeks) looks too heavy and she isn't overweight to relate it to that. Outside of that, she looks pretty good

i am no doctor but suspect that fillers are actually not as temporary as advertised. reason being is i see lots of celebrities looking like bobble heads.

HA filler specifically can be dissolved with the enzyme, hylaronidase. But even this can have a compromised end result as this enzyme also affects adipose tissue.

I think she learned from one of her idols Marilyn Monroe that when it comes to beauty the slightest changes often make the biggest difference in mantaining or improving your appearance, she never overdid it and she still looks like herself which is so important for an icon like her.

@@noemistephanie93 Madonna came onto the scene in 1983 and she was born in 1958 like Prince and MJ. These were her peers. They were the biggest stars of the 1980s. Mariah was not their peer. She was born in 1969 and debuted in 1990. She even said that she liked Madonna when she used to be popular in the 5th grade or something in an interview. So, Mariah didn't view Madonna as her peer either. Cindy Lauper, Janet and Whitney were her peers in the 80s
One thing that fascinates me about Mariah is that she can very easily bounce back from any weight gain or bad Botox in a very short amount of time. I’m glad she never over did surgery & am actually very impressed considering she’s expressed many times her insecurities. She knows what works for her & sticks to it.

I think all celeb plastic surgeons are good doctors, so it would be that combined with her wise choices in which procedures to get and when. It doesn’t matter if you have a good doctor if you’re the one choosing to overfill your face.
Whoever is doing her surgery should get an award. She still looks very natural unlike the half the entertainment industry faces which just look ridiculous! Not naming any names.....Madonna, Lil Kim, All the Jacksons etc.

I agree about the others with their obvious,,dreadful interventions; she does look, actually, quite natural making her look exceptionally well for her age. I just saw her on Jimmy Kimmel and her face seems bloated as if she had fillers, not good. It is why, I came to see what the doctor would say about it, but this video was done 5 months ago...I like her she seems to be kind and genuine.

I’m in my 40s but I believe having fuller cheeks is what helps me look so young. I used to be embarrassed of my full cheeks when I was younger but now it’s a blessing as I age. Like with Mariah, big cheeks helped us maintain a youthful appearance.
Same, I always hated my big cheeks and the fact that I looked much younger than my real age, but now I've come to appreciate it...

I think it’s probably more of the case that she actually listened to her plastic surgeon or friends and family. I think most of these surgeons are good, but people ask for more aggressive procedures as their norm changes.

Always felt since the mid 90s that she has HANDS DOWN the best skin. Never ever spotted a pore on the woman, even in random non photoshopped pics. Well done.
She’s always been naturally beautiful. I feel like a lot of celebrities have this pressure to change what they look like due to the nature of the work and culture of Hollywood. Thanks again Dr. Linkov for a tasteful analysis.
I idolized Mariah when I was growing up - I’m 10 years younger than her. I even did my hair the same way in the daydream era. She’s always had amazing skin. I’m not a fan of her nose job or face filler but at least she doesn’t have the awful duck lips that all celebrities have.

It doesn't look like mariah had anything done to her face at all to me. Just angles, lighting, makeup contouring, hair style changes, weight gain, and bloating from alcohol/medication. Of course someone's nose is gonna look bigger if you go down angle and up close than if you go up angle and far away...this is just angles/weight gain, aging
Exactly!! You are one of the only people in these comments that uses their common sense. There are many things that can make someone’s features to appear differently. My sister ( just using her as an example ) is 40 now. Still beautiful but doesn’t look like she did when she was 20. Her nose looks a little smaller, her cheeks are a little higher, and her lips are fuller. Sometimes it’s makeup that makes these changes. My sister has never had anything done!! Not one thing. I laugh when I watch these videos with these so called “ experts “ and they point out what they believe has been done. Sometimes I’ve seen them comparing a picture of them from 20 yrs ago to a picture from now with heavy makeup. A lot of these people are puppets and believe everything they hear. I don’t believe that Mariah has had plastic surgery on her face honestly

She clearly has had at least two eyebrow lifts and at least one Blepharoplasty, because regardless of different photographic angles you see more and more eyelid/crease over the years, even when she is bare-faced, so it's not a makeup trick, and she has definitely had bridgework done (Rhinoplasty) subtly, but beautifully, as well as Veneers placed at least on a few of her front teeth. I think the facelift statement was going a little too far though, that could be explained by her continuous loss/gain/loss. @@honeyrose7663

She gets her cheek fullness, jawline and bone structure from her father and paternal grandparents. A gorgeous family!

Part of the reason why Mariah is able to maintain her youthful appearance is because she avoids the sun. She's nocturnal. She works at night and sleeps till afternoon. And when she does go out in the sun, there's always an umbrella. On top of that, she controls her facial movements as to not crinkle the corners of her eyes. She has said those in interviews. Even her makeup artist Kristofer Buckle vouched that she's got the milkiest skin. Lambs will know 😂.
Also, there are bloated moments when she is touring because (my speculation) she might be on steroids (common among singers) which can cause 'moonface'.
The bloating comes from drinking. She is rarely seen without a drink in her hand.

Weight gain is one thing but bloated moments are another. You can gain weight but still not look bloated. Over the years, Mariah has gained and lost (as we all humans do) but her bloated moments are, I believe, not attributable to weight gain.
As a die-hard lamb for many years, I could only tell she did something to her face around 2008…but she looks very gorgeous and elegant at her ega, nothing overdone
i think the changes you are seeing are her trying to get pregnant.
She has made virtually no changes to her face overall and it's a good thing. Mariah is maybe the prime example of how weight loss inflences the facial shape. She has been consistently skinny for at least a few months of each year or every two years and the changes are instant. Also, she has changed her makeup style very often so each era has a trademark look that's super easy to identify. Most of her money went into the body actually.
Mariah herself has stated that she has avoided putting a lot of makeup. She has continued to keep her look as natural as possible. Mariah is doing all the right things. She has the best skincare routine and with her cultural background she simply got lucky in her genetics. She has aged gracefully.

thank you for doing this video. i am a fan of hers and suspect she's done some subtle work but it's very hard to figure out due to aging, weight fluctuations and also her genes. I've met her in person years ago and will say In person, She has naturally very very good skin. I've suspected that her good skin is more genetic than it is related to skincare/work
Mariah had a nose job really early on. She was always pretty but if you look at the pics from her first album her nose was much more bulbous than it was on the second. I think Mariah's surgery was largely 'maintenance' as opposed to changing the way she looks.

The things I have noticed through the years on her was her nose , cheeks . I never noticed the blethloplasty ( if she had one ) or the lip fillers. I guess that’s bc usually people way over fill their lips where it looks awful but she subtly did it where it looks natural ! I have been waiting for this video ! Thank you !
Mariah is 53, born in 1970. Aside from that, personally I think up until 2004 she was the most gorgeous, those nosejob were completely unnecessary though. It kind of took away some contrast in her face.

Regarding the lips, Mariah has always applied lipstick just above her upper lip to make it look fuller.
Also, I feel its very hard to judge from pictures with different lighting, makeup. Of course she's had some things done but thankfully she hasn't overdone it.
Don’t forget face app and filters 😂. When she doesn’t have makeup on (she always has natural makeup anyways, never overdone) but you can tell she looks well kept.

I recall reading a magazine article way back in the late 90's where I could've swore, because I've never heard anything since, that Mariah stated she slipped and fell breaking her septum. It didn't heal right and she had trouble breathing for over a year, but couldn't do anything because of her busy schedule. When she finally went to have her septum fixed she was mortified that they did "extra". They gave her the traditional Hollywood nose that everyone was after at that time and acted like they did her a favor. She struggled getting used to her new face.

Dont forget that people with melanin naturally tend to look younger...Look at how most black celebrities age. Think Halle Berry, Gabrielle Union, Angela Bassett...They all look younger than a white woman of the same age.
(Btw, Mariah is mixed, so that certainly helps her retain that youthfulness in addition to the possible surgeries)

Mariah had her breast done, but I really don’t see major changes to her face. I think her being mixed with Black/Venezuelan may have gave her skin what it needs to hold up over the years. She does look like bobble head when drastically losing weight, but other than this, she is still gorgeous.

My mother always says if Mariah had her breast done. They are the best she’s seen because they look completely natural. Even changing size regularly like natural.
