my dad actually paid for the whole family to go on a catamaran for 10 days when I was 11...through the BVI's. Still best trip of my life. Wish I could afford to do it again.
That's an extensive vacay! I hope you hug his neck every day! Good news, there are still ways to get there and enjoy the islands without an extravagant charter.

My wife and I love USVI. St. Thomas, St. John, and sailing on our friends ‘Night Wind.’
Our suggestion is to go and stay at least 30 days at a time. Plan ahead.
Redhook & up the hill at Sea Horse Cottages is where my bro-law built this place with his family in the 1960s. Private beach, one of the few.
In the 1990s when first going there were no drones to capture the glory, joy and lasting heart felt memories. We used 8mm video, which still keep close by.
We’re getting our first drone after so many youtubers are getting us hooked.
We’ve just sold our motorbikes after traveling around 365 days a year since 2007.
We’ve both had series of crashes which required extensive recovery time to saddle up once again.
My wife had to give up her 3 bikes after trauma to her occipital nerve on both sides, along with debilitating migraines she had previously.
As for me 3 crashes, first one being really bad which changed everything in my life. However worked hard to ride again with no working left quad, few other messed up things. 2 falls, while out one hiking another flight of steps. Then 2 more crashes, 2017, and 2018.
It was devastating yet in a flash I thought that’s it. Sold everything, trailer, equipment, everything.
We are so excited as our definite purpose is to help others in powerful ways to create a legacy for our children’s children.
We are only just starting the second part on our journey. Our now adult children just shake their heads.
My wifey for lifey is my hero. She has been a real trouper and nobody on God green Earth will steal her Joy.

Maybe we’ll meetup over coffee or ice tea one day.
We’ll be bringing friends and next couple years be spending on Peter Island, with our mentors.

we have done it and are sick missing it, theres nothing more beautiful than this life, I listen to the wind now with my eyes closed in the rain and dream of memories kissed by the sea, forever heart is broken missing such beauty! we regret going back inland yet theres heaven with family but we were so far away. so now torn by the past

Hi Cameron, I will say this about filming here. I live here and most of these clips are shot on absolutely perfect days during the summer months. The weather can be tough, right now it's blowing 20 plus everyday and the north shore beaches have waves instead of a calm ripple if wind is out of the North. Lot's of rain as well, just keep that in mind when thinking about shots. I use adobe suite of software, mostly premiere pro. On CZcams you can use certain mainstream music if they allow it. It depends however, sometimes you will work on a video and they will deny you upload of a song. Bon Iver is kind enough to allow usage for this kind of video. The video has advertising on it which Bon Iver gets paid for, so you will not be able to monetize the video. I think it depends on the artist though and you might not know if it's going to work until you upload. Not much fun if you spend a lot of time on a vid only to find out you have to sync it to another song.

You missed the most beautiful, unspoiled and biggest of the VI - St. Croix. And St. Croix has real Caribbean culture.
I like St Croix, but I live in St John. I've shot some stills there, but not much footage. Much harder to get to from here.

Hi Ryan, This was put together in Premiere pro, very little grading with lumetri color panel, mostly just correction if white balance was bad and exposure adjustments.

My babies and me sailed with their dad the day his parents told me they were getting him a divorce, "my children were old enough to not need a mommy" Dr. Franklin Neva and his wife Alice ended their God blessed life that day I believe. I thought and heard that "no Alice has no heart and Franklin is not thinking. Scarry God Rx it is true!!! Alice died from heart failure and Franklin, whom I loved and respected suffered from "Alzheimers" my son told me understood near nothing. But I am betting he did and could not express it, sad deal.
The other islands of the Carib bean are more impressive.
