You know Peter in The Amazing Spider-Man one has really grown on me, not that I was one of those people who were upset about his portrayal in the first place that is. I actually wish they would have kept his skateboard in the second movie and maybe even Incorporated it into Spider-Man's web swinging

Peter's high-school life could've been more convincing if it hadn't been portrayed in such a mean-spirited way
Most of the students were portrayed as being successful in more ways than he is, and bully him just to make us feel sorry for him, because "everything will work out for him in the end"
I mean, no teacher or adult was around when everyone was gathered to see Flash torturing that kid or beat up Peter, and they only show up to punish him
Usually, a mean-spirited story is the result of lazy writing
And the movie had solid writers
