It would be nice to have a picture of the game on screen, while you are discussing the game. I have no idea what these games are about.
To me, when it comes to Ubisoft, it's much more than not owning my games, it's also about discontinued support and lack of ability to play the games I enjoy when they decide to take them off the subscription. Ubisoft doesn't have enough games to warrent every player to pay $15-20 per month for 1-3 games that each player would only use... I can see such a player only benefiting from a subscription service after 4+ years of subscribing if they don't mind the games they enjoy missing when support is gone.

I feel there is a place for both sub services for games, but also to allow players to buy the game instead if they wish. I have bought single months of XBOX Game Pass Ultimate PC in the past for my little bro-in-law to have games to play after moving from PS4 to PC, Game Pass Ultimate is probably the only I would buy however as last time I checked, it includes Ubisofts sub, EA Play, etc. Not too shabby for $15 a month. I personally wouldn't take that sub for myself as I have too many games I own in backlog, but it is great for new players that maybe switched from console, and don't have the budget to buy many games yet.
i took most online services like this think psn+ just as an addon to have more options in case i feel jaded. Needless to say i maybe played 40 to 50% of those that i got free... i can literaly name them, theres so few. And from someone used to buy every game he wants to play as in lets say he was buying phisical, this is way cheaper to rack up some selection. And from what i see game pass had some nice games - with the downside of ms removing the games ocasionaly, so tough luck if you didnt yet manage to get to it :)
I agree, Game Pass is worth it, but problem is your favourite game you enjoy playing will be removed from the playlist, the Netflix effect. You can "BUY" it at a discounted price due to Game Pass ultimate subscription but, I believe they should rename the wording, from "BUYING" to RENTING. "BUYING" your games is really deceiving,
DIY perks really knocked it out of the park with this last one. He has been doing all these tech projects but the PS5 tablet thing is among his most ambitious yet

the issue i have with ubisoft with saying this is that the majority of their games arent even worth subscribing for, why should i "get comfortable" with not owning games when i dont even wanna rent your games, also if I cant own your game, what's the point of buying them?

Splatoon is good, but foamstars from what I've heard is more like overwatch and other hero/ team based shooters. Also many people who are going to play it might not have a switch to play it on

Yeah ubisoft can get jackhammered where the sun don't shine if they want me to give up game ownership. Live service games will never be real games because live service games expire like milk. I can rip files off of discs and play the games a decade or 2 down the line if i want to but live services are designed to die so companies can peddle new money pits.

Am i the only one who doesn't see the problem with what ubisoft said? It makes sense that in order for these services to grow, people more people will have to shift their perspective lik how many have done with music and movies

u can still get games on disk also it doesnt mean anything i am talking about how we have must streaming services and same with movies and sure people still buy physical stuff but it is the same for games but my point is gamers seem to just qq about games going digital but never cared about the others@@Alien_isolationist
