Dear sir ! You inspire me to never let go of this fantastic hobby! Love the show and your dedication! Greetings from Italy
Thank you, I'm a hopeless lifer too! My family is from the far north of Italy.
I still have my Remco Barracuda Atomic Submarine from the 1960s. It's not 1/32 scale but it's so cool I've kept it and the box all these years. Thanks for bringing back such great memories of toy soldiers from the past. Looking forward to each episode.
Believe me, I eyeballed that Sub, but it's just not conducive to 1:32 conversion or WWII.
Long live 1/32 Naval WW2! You always do such a great job on these conversions from toys; I really like the depth charge launcher.
Crazy how you manage to convert literally anything into what you want!! Awesome job
Because I MUST HAVE IT!!!
Love the action scene at the end. So so fun.
I include an action scene at the end of every episode!
The Fighting Lady!!
The FIGHTING LADY!!! The BATTLE WAGON is NEXT!!!
I like the conversions you made. Also the navy security, weren't they the SP Shore Patrol similar to a MP in the army.
You are Correct!! Too late now, thanks!
Those Marx Sailors I used to eyeball on ebay years ago. An individual figure would go from $20 to $30 and a almost complete set for over $100. Nowadays they are priceless if you can even find them. I think Marx WOTW had a couple naval figures in 60mm hard plastic... but they weren't all that! I really like what you created with those Airfix multipose figures for a naval personal substitute!
That ship you created is Epic! I have a lotta friends in this hobby, but no one that has such a resourceful and creative mind as yours... you have a skill my friend! I bet you could make a fantastic wine outta sour grapes! 😁
Like Wine, I love the Smell of fine Vintage plastic!
@@ThePlasticGeneral 😁
Love the closing music
PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!
Love it!
Thanks, next one is Epic!!
If I get addicted to this hobby I hold you responsible!
Be very careful!
Loving these
Thanks!!
I am a Navy veteran and I love 1/32 and 1/35 th scale I have built Italieris 1/33th PT-1O9, their LCVP, LCM and also the Lindbergh 1/35th scale PT -109. I have also bought two Navy figure sets from Ialieri and I find the kit of working poses more personalable than the action poses. , I have also bought gunner figures by warrior models to be pretty good. My one and only critique to be about your painting uniforms. If your going to paint a dress whites uniform, you should paint the entire uniform just white no blue flaps and the necker chief is black the Navy has not worn a uniform like that since the 1900's and the only time you'll see that is your watching a musical from the same time period. Besides the black/blue uniform is nicer because of the white trim of stars and stripes and I say black and blue because during WW2 the uniforms were blue ( Navy blue) and in the 80's and now the uniforms are black. The other thing if you are painting working uniforms on a piece set during the 1940's or earlier or on pieces up until the 1990's it should be a light blue shirt and a pair of dark blue trousers. And paint those colors in flat paint. A side note "polce" people in the Navy are called "Shore Patrol" usually signified by an arm band either black or white with a large "SP" in case you wanted to paint your figures I in the proper uniform.
You get an A+ because You are 1OO% CORRECT!!!!! Hey keep a lookout for future Episode #35!! It'll be a Huge Naval Battle!! I'll keep your pointers in mind when making the new figures. Thank you!
FYI Christian the WWII sailors wore canvas gaiters that were tan/sand brown in color and helmets were painted OD green, rather than gray and had USN stenciled in front. The kapok life vests are supposed to be gray, and the neckerchiefs were always black (maybe dark navy blue) and I don't think they were ever worn with dungarees.
Recently got the US Navy marching with rifle sailor by Marx. The colour of his uniform is dark blue.I think there were two paint versions:white summer uniform and the regular blue uniform.
As far as I know, yes.
Fighting Lady battleship = awesome.
Thank you Sir!
Geez you can custom make some cool shit. Glad I found your channel 🫡🤘🏻
I'm Glad you found it! More to come!!
I left a previous comment concerning your Marx sailors; I thought they were missing a pose. However, after checking my sources,it turns out your set is complete. It's a shame more companies aren't doing sailors or coast guard figures. One solution I found is to use substitutes. For instance Armies In Plastic makes Russian soldiers from around 1900 who wear uniforms that are very navy-like,and they make pretty convincing sailors. On another topic, the "military police" you mentioned are called "Shore Patrol" ("SP") in the Navy and Coast Guard when they are on land. and when out at sea are called "Masters-At-Arms" or "MAA". By the way Reisler of Denmark makes some nice soft-plastic white sailors too.
Some current company like Mars should do US Navy Sailors in Combat and include an Orliken AA Gun too!
Great stuff -- I remember that ship! BTW, I remember having a Lone Star Royal Navy shore party set (1/32). I believe it was re-released by Timpo.
Ya, I know it! It's so badly sculpted I exiled it from my collection.
@@ThePlasticGeneral you're right, ha, ha. I also had some British paratroopers by the same company which were slightly better sculpted.
Great show! I like the presentation, action scenes and soundtrack. You seem very knowledgeable (seem - bc I know nothing about 132s nor Japanese battleships) and energetic - makes me want to watch and learn more!
Free to watch!!! New episode today #11
Great job Christian
Thanks Marcus. Any good acquisitions lately?
@@ThePlasticGeneral Getting some original Airfix SAS soon. Just got some Esci Modern War toy soldiers.
Great Conversion....I love it ! Where did you find the Bofors AA gun ? I need a couple of them!!!
The Italeri 1/35 PT Boat conversion kit Buy 2, you'll see why.
Hey! Didn't those Marx navy come out for the training center in 1958?
I think they did come with that playset, but very rare anyway! You can peck them off one at a time on Ebay for about $80 each if you really want them?
I don't see why you can't use the 88gun and the anit aircraft gun that BMC makes!
I'll get around to it.
I did know about it hahahaha
HaHaHaHa!!! I AM THE MASTER!!!
