  • Michel Richard Delalande [de Lalande] (15 December 1657 - 18 June 1726) was a French Baroque composer and organist who was in the service of King Louis XIV. He was one of the most important composers of grands motets. He also wrote orchestral suites known as Simphonies pour les Soupers du Roy and ballets.

    I love the integration of the winds with the strings, and I think also the harp of some kind, beautiful! The minor tones come through nicely

    Is the part for second violin or second flute improvised or it is written in another score?

      In the liner notes it stated that parts were adapted according to the common practice of the day.
