About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

Only George's parents could make George seem sensible
Lol
George is just a insecure loser but still reasonable.
@@brucelston
George is a product of his toxic upbringing; can't really blame the poor bastard.
If George's parents had divorced when he was younger, he could've been normal
True I never Saw it that way till now
George's parents were just perfectly PERFECTLY cast and directed. You can totally see George as a sum of both of his parents and the way they interacted
You should look up the casting of jerry stiller. Really interesting story! On CZcams somewhere sorry I don’t have the link!
The two of them were always a riot.
Agree wholeheartedly
@@AM-qu6vu jerry Stiller was the best!
I always thought Jerry Seinfeld's character was the model for Larry David until I saw Larry say in an interview that it was George he was most like.. LOL
The only time Frank and Estelle agreed on something
And of course it's an insane opinion
Fact!
I imagine how it was at their wedding with the "I do" part
They also agreed with each other when George felt up the material on that job interview he went to. And was immediately fired...
They agreed that George was too much to deal with (the episode with Fragile Frankie Merman & the van)…lol
We’re sitting there like IDIOTS drinking coffee, without a piece of cake!
….I think that every time I go over to a friends for coffee
Would a piece of pound cake be too much to ask for? I tell ya it was intentional they didn’t put out the dessert we brought…Frank Constanza.
@@bigh7972 453 Graham crackers = 1 pound cake.
She was right. When drinking coffee after the dinner, piece of cake is obligatory .Or at least biscuits, sweet pretzel, pancakes with jam...
@@stagna1959 How about cherry pie? I don't eat cake, its too sweet, its basically like eating sugar sponge to me. I like a cherry pie, the tartness from the cherries balances out the sugar. Apple pie's no good though, too sweet, not enough tart
I love how as soon as George mentions the idea of putting the rye back Jerry is immediately on board
That's because George and Jerry have known each other their whole lives. That, and because they both still have the mentality of ten yr olds..
My wife and I used to be cool and contemporary...after 19 years we have become Frank and Estelle..but its ok because we love each other
😆
Holy sh’t bro. I’d murder myself, and you were always argumentative you guys started out like that. Your relationship didn’t develop decades later comon now ya POS
Don't let michael richards stop short with your wife.
Gotta ask would you say she has eye for fashion?
Sadly they died
LET'S NOT GET INTO PANIC MODE!!!
"we're sitting there like idiots,...".
It can't possibly be funnier.
"Now because of that stupid rye bread I gotta keep them all separated for the rest of my life" 🤣🤣🤣
“Who will bring a bread and take it back”?
“Those people; thats who, I think they’re sick.”
Understatement of the century!!!
George’s parents are the best casting and Jason Alexander plays off them so much
We’re sitting there like IDIOTS, drinking coffee, without a piece of cake!
This is so old school Italian. This was my grandparents.
I feel like mediterranenan people in general are the same vibe; my grandparents are lebanese and Spanish and have some of this too;
George's family are not italian, they're jewish
@@guyincognito3456 you can be italian and jewish
@@guyincognito3456 Technically they were Italian and Jewish.
@@guyincognito3456 Do you not remember what George said to the calzone guy?
I don't know why people say they weren't geniunely good friends, this episode actually had Jerry assault an old lady and steal her bread to help George, haha.
Agree they seemed to enjoy each other's misery from time to time but they helped each other a lot. Remeber when jerry tried the switch?
@@tmrevenge Hence I don't get why people say the main cast have "no empathy"----they've been there COUNTLESS times for each other.
@@zoefang4563 that's right Zoe when you are right you are right
Jerry Stiller was one of one man. RIP to the goat 🐐
*“Shut-up ya old bag!”* 🤣
I like how they always "fix" a problem in the worst way possible. He could have just told them, they took it back since they figure they didn't like it or maybe were allergic to it... Simple as that.
It would cause both families kill each other.
But this explains how Seinfeld is a series about "nothing." The idea of getting into this ridiculous situation over a loaf of rye bread is genius.
@@danawinsor1380 Yeah that's why I said I like it...
That's George Constanza for you, he also could have just take the bread back and told them the truth like you said.
But this wasn't a bad plan though
@@ironmaster6496 George would never do that. Frank would . He would be happy to explain to them why he took the rye back and all the grievances they have caused him .
"Cause he's off his ROCKER that's why!" - amazing delivery. This whole episode is great, it's usually regarded as the best overall Seinfeld episode.
Nah, the one where kramer adopts a mile of a highway is better
The best was "The Marine Biologist."
No soup for you 1 year!
@@wvu05 lololol. It was just George's luck that there was a beached whale and someone calls out, "Is anyone here a marine biologist?"
@@danawinsor1380 The sea was angry that day my friends...
I agree with Estelle and Frank. You have people over for dinner, you offer dessert. And who does after dinner coffee without offering dessert?
You're off your rocker.
And who would be so inconsiderate as to not put out the marble eye after they made the effort of going all the way to Schnitzer's?
@@wvu05 I agree, it's shocking.
I disagree. Although it's a very nice gesture. Some people, maybe on a diet or for other reasons, can't/won't eat dessert. I could see how that might make someone uncomfortable.
I’ve been over someone’s house where they haven’t put any snacks out. I don’t know, just find that weird.
The Rosses should invite them back over for coffee with a slice of rye bread
Remember that Jerry stole that Rye from an old bag on the street.... would have been great to include it
Look, I love the whole episode, and it would be great to include all of it, but that scene doesn't really follow the theme line being presented here.
@Necramonium Babu was the last witness who put them in jail. The old bag was the deciding vote to remove Morty as condo president.
Ah they didn't forget to put it out!
It's deliberate!!
Frank's default is assume hes been wronged on purpose
Love this.
This was one of the best episodes in the series. Brilliantly written and played
It’s deliberate I tell ya!
George should have told them at the end that his father was crazy and took it, and he was just trying to keep the peace lol.
that would be the wise thing to do and in fact the only solution haha
That would be the sensible thing to do, which is why George goes the other way.
Lol knowing george he panicked
It would have the families kill each other.
"There's something about the clip, clop, clip clop people go nuts about it "🤣🤣

If you are not Jewish, this would seem quaint, but the Marble Rye is a common or important custom after Saturday service at Temple and important social events. The breaking of the bread is an important custom. I remember when someone brought Raisin Bread vs regular sweet bread to Temple and after the service he was like "we are finally moving up in the world"☺ like we are getting fancy!
That person with the new and improved bread was a fancy boy, a real dandy!
Look at me, love me, kiss me! 😅
According to Silvio.
Rest in peace Jerry and Estelle
This must be my favourite Seinfeld scene ever..just cracks me...RIP Jerry Stiller..
This is one of my very favorite episodes. The first time I saw this episode and it gets to where Kramer and Rusty the horse are riding with Susan's parents and Rusty is constantly passing gas after Kramer feeds him his excess Beeferino I swear I nearly died laughing! The angle that they use to show Kramer clueing in to the smell slaaaaaayed me and still does to this very day.
You’re 100% spot on… that part is so hilarious! It’s screaming out loud level of funny! No question!
“What do you feed this animal?”, asks Susan’s father. “I can’t breath!”
These two families are perfect for each other!
Can you imagine how the wedding would’ve gone?? Good God
Jerry and george should have married if only for the sake of the family interaction
Every time I see scenes like this one I think to myself "My, George turned out so well adjusted."
George can be a problematic freak of nature, but you can't deny it all starts with these two lunatics lol
Frank Constanza belongs in the comedic hall of fame. 1st round…
1:34 Probably the only thing they ever saw eye-to-eye on, and it was to hate on another couple. 😂
3:26 - "Wait a second, WAIT A SECOND!" It's like hearing Larry David say that line!
I heard that too!
Frank, wearing a tie that's wider than any tie anyone has worn in the last 5 years
Estelle yells at Frank that the tie is too thin
Lmao 🤣 George is really crazy....lol...smh...the shit he does instead of just being upfront with people.
The way George reels it in and holds the bread up like fishermen always do for their catch is hilarious.
George and his parents are hilarious. Susan and her parents are too. 😄
R.I.P. Estelle Harris
It's deliberate, deliberate I tell you!!!
What a fine ending for such an entertaining conversation between Georg and his parents in the car.
It's deliberate I tell you, DELIBERATE!
George should have said "They're really biting out there".
This is definitely an example of a cultural divide. If you are in a rural environment and you bring something to a potluck, if it is untouched, you are completely within your rights to take it home. When talking about this episode, everyone I know from a city agreed with George, and everyone from a rural area agreed with Frank.
If i brought food that I prepared, in a dish, I'll take it home. A loaf of bread that I bought, in a plastic bag, I'll leave behind. I can buy another loaf of bread.
Lol which is why the show put situations like that in to poke fun at the two logics. Me personally I'd of told my girlfriend the situation and explained how messed up my family is.
@@Aaron_Heininger But you're not as insecure as George is.
That being said, what is the insane part? You go out of your way to go to this particular deli and get their signature food, and they don't even bother to put it out?
This is not a pot-luck. Its a semi-formal dinner. George's parents are meeting his fiance's parents for the first time.
@@bossfan49 If it's a semi-formal occasion, then the Ross family should have put out cake, and they should have put out the marble rye.
Ahhh, they didn't forget to put it out! It's deliberate! DE-LI-BE-RATEI TELL YA!
Not gonna lie that marbled rye looks pretty tasty.
Indeed
Jason Alexander has always been a very great actor 👏 🎉, 😅😅
My personal GOAT episode.
My fav episode too 😂
What does GOAT mean?
@@elveheim greatest of all time
0:30 The "psychopath convention" that Jerry mentioned is still going on.
Jerry Stiller absolute legend.
They’re all very suspicious.
😂
Susan looked hot in that scene
I do like her hairstyle
Jerry very concerned 🤣🤣
2:38 - I love the frustration and embarrassment.
Old, cheap and slightly insanse people. Bickering about stuff that doesn't matters. Spot on!
That's a beautiful marble rye 🍞
georges expression with his parents is my expression with my grandparents lol
"We're sitting there like idiots drinking coffee without a piece of cake!"
Aaaaalllllll things considered, I'd say George turned out pretty well.
Not really. George is a neurotic mess.

You fed the horse Beeferino?!!!
I love the Costanzas!!!!
Where is Rusty and the Beefarino?

0:30 That look...
SCHNITZERS. Lmao
If you could only divorce yourself from your parents .
Ungift the bread and Susan's mother was in Child's Play 2🤣Chucky had her taking selfies via the copy machine 😅
I'm appreciative for the laughs. Thank you
I'LL SHOW THESE PEOPLE SOMETHIN ABOUT TASTE... UMMPHH !
Kramer feeding the horse chili and it having gas
Beefarino!
Each of the actors playing the parents (Frank & Estelle, and Mr. & Mrs. Ross) were just such terrific character actors, the likes of which we sadly don't seem to have many of anymore (where everyone just basically plays versions of themselves... :-( l
Let’s be real here, all of us have gotten into situations that could’ve been fixed easily if not for our brilliantly stupid plan that ended up making things worse.
For once Frank and Stelle were on the same page, Nice 🤣🤣🤣
My favorite episode
This is my favourite episode 😂😂
I love this channel😍😍
1:01 George is just like me when I was meeting my brothers then future in-laws for dinner. 😅😅😅
Caught a rye! Lol!
Jerry Seinfeld: Give me that Bread, you Old Bag!!
That looks more like a challah than a rye
It's a marble rye. That is one way of achieving the marbling effect.
George’s parents are so annoying it’s perfect
Echoes of Annie Hall with the split-screen of the two families un-interacting.
I was born in 91 and this on top of taxi, Brady bunch and Gilligan's Island I found humor
"Deliberate I tell ya!!!"
Hot toasted rye bread with peanut butter spread quickly on it and some jam you like can’t be beat. Mmmmmm
Yep this is my favorite episode
There was really only one line that could've ended the scene with George holding the loaf of rye on a line from a fishing rod, and it was.... "Schnitzer's"
Gotta go with Frank on this one. If you bring food to an event and the host doesn’t use/offer it (regardless of whether it’s accidental or deliberate), seems perfectly within your rights to take it with you when you go.
Nah it’s pretty weird taking the bread
And who doesn't serve cake after a meal? What kind of people?
Like how Jerry runs while stealing the rye form the old woman
Deliberate I tell you!!
this is for like a muffin! lol!!
4:36 PRICELESS
*GREATEST SITCOM EVER!!!*
Who thinks of putting a hook in a rye bread? Larry David you brilliant SOB…
There were OTHER writers on the show. Are you sure it was Larry?
Bossfan49 I am not sure that particular line was from Larry. However, between Curb and Seinfeld he is one brilliant SOB. I stand by that statement now and forever. Larry was known for coming up with concepts or story lines. The staff of writers along with Jerry many times helped with putting the scripts together.
@@bigh7972 Carol Leifer, who wrote that episode, credited Larry with tbe idea about Jerry's confrontation w the old lady. She said Larry felt that Jerry should have 1 more obstacle before getting the rye to George.
Poor George never had a chance with parents like this.
Hahaha...Costanza family are out of this world..
Ive always thought that bread looked so good. Never had marble rye..
One thing I've NEVER understood about fashion: What's the point of having two buttons on a suit jacket, but only do up one?
Three buttons is the only correct configuration.
I do both. It looks so much better.
One button looks sloppy as hell and I am not a slob.
