nobody knows the names of their own (lowly) employees...but it takes Peterman to have "surrendered to office passions" with the Mystery Suse

I love how Peterman set the whole thing up, yet doesn't want to be "dragged into it." I swear the boss characters were always the best part of the show. How did anything ever get done in this city, with everyone important being such a lunatic?

This whole episode was just genius writing!
I saw an interview with one of the Monty Python writers once. He said what's really funny isn't when something strange is going on. It's when something strange is going on and something even stranger happens. Elaine making sure her coworker uses the wrong name correctly is a great example.
I love how perfectly irritated Elaine sounds at 0:22, Julia delivered every line flawlessly!

It’s extremely obvious in the episode. Like @connieparr5050 says, Peggy taps Elaine on the shoulder and they resolve that plot line.
Going by this scene alone, Elaine definitely has a genius IQ.

This sketch is just an excellent piece od situational comedy paired with relatable satire of large corporations
