With all do respect Necrit isn't all knowing about the lore. He routinely spreads the misinformation that these raiders are Renektons followers. Their not. Some of them are not even religious and none of them act like Renekton is even worshiped by them. And Renekton barely pays them attention. At most they took inspiration from the legends of Renekton.

i dont get where he takes that "blood magic" theory from. He just pulled it outta his ass one day and haven't shut up about it ever since. blood magic was reignited by ascended after shurima fell and was considered primitive and dishonorable therefore i doubt ascended like nasus (conservatiove ideal) and renekton (who doesnt even know it's a thing since he wasnt there when it became a thing) would be using it. their growing ultimates are a separate thing on their own, as simple as that.
i really like renekton's character here he's not the usual kind of murderously insane like he is in-game don't quote me on this, but he seems like he has a more tasteful portrayal of insanity where he goes through bursts of violence/sadness instead of constantly acting like jeff the killer
yeah man, and I think this intelligence mixed with violent outbursts aligns really well with Renekton in both LoL and LoR: Compared to some other Bruisers Renekton's kit/card text is quite complex, I'm down for his personality to match that a bit more

I think this story also shows that Renekton could be brought back to his senses as he temporarily had his old form before reverting back into his broken form by the end of the story.
In his flashback, according to necrit, he spoke like his former self, without hatred for nasus and even seeming apologetic, so you are absolutely right and that would be a great addition to their story. Only problem is riot would have to remake his voice lines sine he says "Nasus can't hide from me for ever".

Sai Surtha is Kiilash, from Rengars race, and they are overpowered humanoids. Kiilash would literally kill Renekton there if he wasnt an ascended. Now imagine what skill Rengar posseses. Sai Surtha is champion material.

I have a theory you might be interested in; In the runeterra book, the shadow isles story (the daring darling), vladimir is trying to get to the shadow isles, as he needs something from there. in the ionia part of the book (more specifically page 29) there is a note saying 'to return we will need the weapon'. I believe that this weapon is why vlad is in the shadow isles, and that weapon is something to do with viego. That weapon is either the ruination itself, blade of the ruined king or something else, that could be to do with the yordles, or yuuumi's master (who is most definitely going to be the artilery mage).
He's a sympathetic celestial who wants to educate the mortals, or a watcher/voidborn who's informing the watchers of everything he finds out so they can invade runeterra
It sounds like there may be hope for Renekton, which I hope is the case. He sacrificed himself to save his brother, and later what remained of the kingdom. Falling into madness is a cruel fate for such deeds. Yes I know he also did war crimes and was a butcher, but there was honor in his heart too.
There is an interesting set of questions the newest Legends of Runeterra expansion has brought with the sun disk and champion level ups. When Nasus and Azir level up the second time from the sun disk restoration, why does Renekton also get a level up? Does the sun disk have some sort of magic connection with those imbued with it's power? If so, does the same apply to Xerath? What about the Darkin? Or are the Darkin different because they have been sealed?
legends of runeterra has cards from all different times of runeterra. So maybe later in the world the watcher will awaken. An example of this is Cythria, there are I believe 3 cards of her. All 3 from different times of her life. So the awakened watcher can just be a lot further down the timeline.

Now that I think about it, an interesting coincidence that Kindred has the Wolf and Nasus, who is a jackal and a canine like the Wolf, is closely related to death, as his powers are death-related. Would make sense that the legends of Nasus and the Kindred would be mixed over the ages.
I know is late but maybe the reason the ascendant change to blood magic was cause they lose the sun disc and didn't have the bless of the sun on their land so in a way to keep them regenerating they had to change to blood magic since blood was gather in the field and they were always fighting between them?

I think that now he is no longer in prison with xerath he might slowly regain his sanity slowly just like how he slowly got corrupted. To the point he finds peace for himself and realizes that he was the one who wanted to be sealed

Hey necrit could you link the stories you read in the description? Its sometimes really hard to find the stories because the lore website is convoluted and I'd like to read certain passages myself for extra context and atmosphere, especially when you condense some stories for brevity.
