Who would have seen Blue Beetle having the highest critics score of the DC films this year? Good for it 💙
Blue beetle is trash its a kid movie.
I think Blue Beetle deserves the credit. It was a great DC film, in my opinion.
At this point, I’m honestly worried for Superman: Legacy. Even if the film is amazing, audiences are just so done with the DC brand and all the baggage that they might not give it a chance.

James Gunn is arguably the right person for the job because he hasn’t made a superhero film that I hated. And he has bad experience working on the MCU
@@maxpops8427 "Pretentious mediocrity" 😂. Ikr, I never get why his fans keep rating him so high. They may even put him in the league of Spielberg, Fincher or Scorsese. Zack was always just an okay director. Even Michael Bay has made more entertaining movies than Zack.
Here’s an optimistic way to think of the situation: The Mission Impossible stalled after MI2. MI3 was the necessary refresh the IP needed. MI3 broke even at the box office and didn’t set the world on fire. But audiences now knew that Mission Impossible didn’t suck anymore. MI4,5, and 6 went on to be massive successes. They owe that to MI3. James Gunn’s Superman will not set box office records, but it will give confidence back to the general public that DC movies can be good again.
What a way for the DCEU to go out.

I really hate that James gun decided to dismantle the DCEU and turn it into his own. By doing that, it made every DCEU movie after zach synders justice league pointless, and I believe that’s what caused all of this mayhem for every DCEU movie to bomb. of course we do have black adam that failed even before james gun took over but that movie wouldve done better if the character was introduced in shazam 2 but the rock had a huge ego and risked everything on his solo movie. its sad because the DCEU was starting to get good with shazam, wonder woman, zach synders justice league, and the first aquaman. james gunn should have at least let the DCEU end on a high note before announcing his universe.

The problem with superhero movies is the sheer frequency we get them. They don't feel special anymore, they feel like a rushed project to follow up a film that made a shit ton of money. These characters are iconic and have amazing stories to tell but unfortunately, it's nothing more than a cash grab to the studios

@nabeel8194 i absolutely adore phase 1 of the MCU. They're goofy, they don't always make sense but when you watch them you can tell that the people involved really cared about what they were doing. The prop details, the set design, the special effects of the first iron man suits, thats what makes a movie feel more real. I want to go back to watching movies where we don't have to nitpick and look out for Easter eggs.

My quick review (no spoilers)
Yeah it wasn’t good imo but i wouldn’t call it bad either. It’s just ok. The plot is bad, the dialogue and tone is a mess and that becomes more obvious once you realise most of this movie is action scenes… imo there was only two really good fight scenes.
The writing and pacing is really off. I really liked Orm here a lot like I think he was just favourite from the movie but I did find weird was Jason as Aquaman this time round.
He didn’t seem to fit the character this time and when you watch it hopefully you will get what I mean.
Anyhoo the brotherly love-hate relationship between Orm and Arthur is nice and fun to watch.
Black Manta is actually great everytime he is on screen but it’s just a shame he’s ‘isn’t really himself’ most of the time so his story seemed pointless. Umm that’s about it!
The first movie is waaaay better.
Random: I didn’t like The Flash that much but it’s definitely a better movie than Aquaman 2 so I would watch The Flash again over this.
This actually makes sense. I heard the first movie was something wan and mamoa actually wanted to make while this movie was forced on them by the studio (both wan and mamoa had different story pitches and they both got shot down).
Saw the film opening night and was pleasantly surprised, the movie is a ton of fun with really great action and spectacle, yes there are campy moments but I feel it all worked great, this movie knows exactly what it is and doesn’t try to be something it’s not, definitely worth seeing on the big screen

Aquaman The lost kingdom is a decent movie ..the plot wasnt the best, it wasnt bad either..its was a pity that Dolph Lundgren had limited showtime in this movie .i wouldnt disown this movie from the marvel universe. the action was non-stop. There was some fun scenes in this movie. .The giant canivorous cockroaches..The canivorous plants. Aquarium 2 gets 8/10 jaffs from me.

Honestly I do think the peak for super hero movies is long gone. If studios keep making a bunch of these movies I think many of them will fail to break even. The shared universe concept also can be a negative when so many prior fans are no longer watching most of these movies. They don’t know the characters or the stories. I think Thor being so poorly received really has had a cascading effect.

Seen it and IMO it's just a dumb movie with terrible script writing. Why the hell is Aquaman portraying the villain from the last Fast and the Furious movie? Silly as hell. The people that love this are promoting it more than Warner Brothers themselves.😂😂

Just watched the movie and........ it was terrible. Horrible writing first off, terrible story line and complicated plot and thin at the same time. Like Wonder Women 1984 this was terrible. I dont understand with unlimited resources you could mess up something that can be so great. I could have wrote a better storyline than that. My rating out of 10 is 0

I really enjoyed Aquaman 2. I think the first movie was better over all but I had a lot of fun with the new movie. I actually enjoyed all of the DCEU films. I guess this franchise is my jam.
Hopefully for me it's a good movie cuz later I'm going to the cinema to watch it but too many reviews are negative 😂😂
That's cuz you are 10yo and don't know what a good movie is yet... if your not... no one can save your clueless soul. The DCEU only had one good movie... it was Brightburn... and a special mention for both Black Adam and Wonder Woman 84.

Rotten Tomatoes rated Birds of Prey over dawn of justice and justice league by over 30%? Well they just lost credibility at least in my eyes. Those weren’t great movies but Birds of Prey was a horrible film.

I’ve just seen it was good.not the best but a 7/10. They handled the political aspect of the film. They didn’t go overboard with politics like Hollywood movies do nowadays. And it’s scary because the film gives quite a weirdly accurate prediction of the way world is going right now if we don’t get climate change under control.
Critics opinions are mostly politically influenced. And I think most of the reasons why people sh!t on the movie has to do with amber being in it.
