Great walk-through. For reference, I got a kit from China with a sine wave controller. The default setting for C2 was zero. The instructions were lost (long story) and this is the best explanation I have found so far. Now all I need are the specs for the 1500W hub!
These guys are the best. Hands down the best customer service, they stand behind any product they sell fully. I personally made the horrible mistake of buying parts from a competitor, and they still helped and gave the best customer service ive had in a long time. I will never buy any rad runner parts from anyone else but these guys. You can't go wrong with them, and if you do, they will make it right! Bolton bikes allll dayy

Thank you. Rec'd Mini 4 ten days ago. Rec'd Pwr upgrade yesterday and installed today. C1 (PAS) setting was set to 3 when I first booted the display and PAS failed on first test. Changed the C1 setting from "C1: 3" to "C1: 2" and it works great. Changed that and the DIM (23" for the current 4" Mongoose tires I can't wait to replace).
Immediate difference. Makes my hilly neighborhood much easier to deal with. Battery will drain quicker, but I'll gets used to that and adjust.
I suffered a painful groin injury in 2016 (not on a bike). Surgery in 2021 made some of it worse and pedaling full power on my regular MT Bike is painful. Having this eBike and the options to upgrade and tinker has brought me out of non-mobile funk. Haven't rode more than 5 days in a year since 2016. I've been out every day since I got this bike and will be even more with this upgrade.
Christmas lights at night are perfect experience for a new eBiker. :-D

This is why i subscribed to your channel. The info you provided was spot on and you give detailed info on each setting. I got the ktlcd3 after i built my ebike. The kit originally came with the kt led880. After i corrected the p-settings, the lcd was fully fuctional. Thank you

Thank you for this video. I was so frustrated with the directions that came with my LCD (ebike motor kit).
My directions said to hold the up/down after power on for 5 seconds to delete the trip riding time. But they also said this exact same thing to get into the "General Project Setting" and change to F.
Oh, and speaking of setting to F. Lot's of struggle with only getting Imperial Speed, but with Environmental Temp still at Metric. Your video pointed out (thank you again) that this was an option. I thought mine was broken! I wanted and later found the option that made sense to me All Imperial.

I have watched all the KT3LCD “Howto” vids on YT. This is def the best. ALL the settings covered and what changes to each will do in a clear concise explanation. TY.
The only thing I would add for completeness….is to make it clear that a long press on the middle button will store and exit at any point. I now have mph showing with deg Celcius which is the Brit standard measurements. Oh and my bike shipped with no user manual (only assembly instructions!)

I have a couple questions, I have an EBC Model R with KTLCD8H. I was curious about C5 Controller Max Current Adj Mode. The factory setting is 7, I bumped
it up to 10 but didn't notice any difference. Where should I notice a
difference? When I went from 7 to 10, I didn't realize anything noticeable. I assume it allows you to use the full power of the battery or motor? If I do leave it at 10, will eat use up more battery and reduce ride time?
Mine has a USB port on the side of the KT, when I plug my phone in, it does not charge the phone, nor does the phone acknowledge its connected to a USB port. Does the bike have to be running in order to charge my phone? I have
an iPhone Xs Max but I also tried connecting a GoPro Session which uses very little to charge. Is my unit possibly defective or is there a setting which turns on the charging mode?

Wow, they delivered the bicycle with the assist inverted! (C3). I performed the first tests here around my house (really hilly) using the weaker assistance thinking I was using the stronger and panicked. Now I've got it fixed. Thanks.

Thank you for this great tutorial. Setting the throttle C4 to 0 instead of 1 has unleashed a beast of a bike. No need to pretend pedal anymore, just an electric motorcycle. And the 25kph speed limit...well, say no more! Thanks again for a great video.
I set the speed limit to max but it stills brakes at 25km/h. It even shows the brakes icon blinking once I reach the 25km limit. Do you know why this could be and if there is a configuration to fix it? Thanks in advance!!

brilliant solved my problem.pas lvl 1 had me going in low speed and i had to use pas lvl 5 to get full speed from throttle. thanks to this vid i learned i had to change c4 to 0. now i can get full throttle in pas lvl 1 which means if i accidently peddle the bike is not racing off as fast...many thanks

This was a big help, thanks. The instruction manual that came with my hub kit I bought on amazon is impossible to understand. Only setting I had to change was KPH to Mph and F. Everything else was preset correctly.

I have a slight issue with my speed sensor. The speed only displays when the motor has power provided to it (ie throttle is down or pedaling, not freewheeling)
Also, when the motor is first turned on, the speed does not read, but after riding for a few minutes the speed begins to display.
The motor has 1 magnet, so P2 is set to 1.
Any ideas?

Thank you for this video. Concerning the password, I've sometimes put one in without realizing it. I had locked my screen. The simplest solution is to take your time and work out the combinations one by one. That's how I was able to unlock my screen and reset this option to zero.

My bike have no throttle, just pedal assist in six different levels. Due to burnt controller i must change controller and display. Original is not available. Is there a settingin this display for no throttle, just pedal assist?

thanks for the video, getting most of mine working, just 1 question, I want to be able to use the throttle full no matter what PAS I am set on, so P3=1, I have P4=0 and trying to set C4. I want to have my PAS to be gradual based on number, but when I set PAS=1 and I pedal, the motor runs full blast, same if PAS=2 or 3 etc. I tried changing C4 to different setting but then my throttle will not go full at any PAS setting. I tried multiple combinations and just doesn't seem to work. Any ideas? TIA
