Hey everyone! We’re Cole & Charisma. Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about how we make things work as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. There are certainly differences, and despite them we have a great time, all the time! On this channel, you’ll find travel vlogs, Q&As, couple challenges, how-to/educational videos and more. We started this channel to bring people into our lives so we can answer some questions about how we navigate the world. We’ll show you behind-the-scenes stuff people typically don't see, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. You'll quickly see in our episodes that we're all about positivity, inclusion, and keeping a great attitude no matter your circumstances, so if that's what you're into, you're in the right place!
I don't watch this channel to see the challenges you two face because you're an interabled couple. I watch your channel because I enjoy seeing two people who clearly love each other.

The explanation about the safe word “butterflies” by Cole is the most beautiful thing ever. Many of us have never been in relationships where the other person took that kind of consideration for us. You all are teaching me things. Keep up that type of communication.

You guys inspire me and my hubby (c5 incomplete quad) so much. We are young and all and still wanna live a fun filled life... But we've never ever done a holiday or an overnight trip by ourselves without a caregiver. This video has us planning our first overnight trip caregiver free... Nervous but excited.

Thank you again for sharing and showing the pleasure and the joy of being positive. I love the confidance that Cole's mother and father demonstrated as it relates to Charisma. As soon as they pulled out the driveway, Cole's parents immediately turned their backs and went into the house. They knew that Cole was in loving, capable hands, in the form of Charisma. For that and many other reasons, I am a huge fan of Charisma. Because Cole graciously and respectfully accepts help and because he is so very encouraging and loving, I'm a big fan of Cole's, too.

Traveling as an interabled couple was not as hard when it was just my husband and I. The moment we had the twins, things changed. I remember we travelled a lot to L.A. and we had to drive because I was nervous they would freak out if we flew. We are planning on going to Africa(Botswana) to show my family the kids, it is definitely going to be interesting. My twins have never flew before. Anyway, enough about me now. Let me finish the video. I love you Charisma for loving Cole. I can't wait for the wedding video already.😍😘

Being an interabled couple vlogging the whole experience, y'all have more hurdles and planning than others, and thank you for so openly sharing your experience with us. I think this is just amazing because it really shows society that even if your ♿ or have disabilities that you can still find love no matter what you look like or no matter what's wrong with you. This is truely amazing and I'm really in love with this bond and relationship and I think it's amazing to watch these two amazing people come together!!
That is the simplicity of love, trusting , respecting, and honoring each other’s love . They truly demonstrate what a shared partnership is about, acknowledging each other’s strengths andchallenges and strategically balancing it out. We love you for that💕💕

That’s cool that you recognize It can be can be overwhelming for one person. so always give charisma her space when you can tell that she’s feeling overwhelmed.By the same token you let charisma know when you’re feeling overwhelmed and that you need space. Honestly, care givers need awards or something.My mom was a nurse and has worked as a care giver to all types of people from older ones with dementia to paralyzed ones. It takes a special type of person to become a caregiver and I know that's not me. However, I respect the ones who dedicate their lives to doing this. Charisma I have so much respect for you and I just want to give you a hug. Hopefully you didnt have to use the safe word. Cole is always so happy and positive. Love you guys.

Wow! What a beautiful video. Laughing, joking being affectionate towards each other and showing us what is involved in Cole's care e.g. what he needs for his daily/ nightly care and his morning routine. And the work that you Charisma put in. You are so loving , giving and kind Charisma. Even choosing the clothes together and what medical supplies are needed. In the U.K. we have done away with using the word handicapped. We have not used it for decades. So it's so strange to hear that word. Over here we found the term to be insulting and out of date. Because it was used at the turn of the century. It was meant to describe someone who was homeless, had a disability and went begging with a cap/hat hence the term hand in cap or cap in hand = handicap. We use the term Disabled instead. Or alternative living needs. But generally it is Disabled. A long , long time ago we used to use that word ( handicapped ) but the thinking / language was changed because Disabled people did not like it and health professionals and educators agreed it was derogatory. Little U.K. bit of knowledge Also we use the phrase ALTERNATIVE LEARNING for children / adults who have intellectual differences. But yes beautiful varied video. Lol. I am getting fed up with the term Lol. Do you have an alternative shortened phrase that is used in the USA ? If not I will have to keep using it because it seems to be universal. I might start my own and use ALLOL = A little laugh out loud. Because Lol to me means a really loud raucous laugh and sometimes it doesn't seem appropriate ALLOL !! I cracked my tooth on an un pitted olive and the pain was immense. All the nerves in my gum are exposed and its agony. So glad I am having it taken out tomorrow. Just thought I would throw that one in there. Haha. Ha maybe start a campaign to change the term handicap lol.

I'm an L1 paraplegic from an auto accident in November of 2012. Really enjoy your videos. I have a great able bodied girlfriend that also does so much for me. U can really see the love that you have for each other. I also got some great ideas from your channel. I especially like the safe word. Because being overwhelmed can sometimes lead to taking things out on someone in the wrong way. So by using the safeword it's great for not giving it the chance to esculate to that point. Keep up the great videos. 👍👌

Thanks for sharing and your vulnerability, Cole & Charisma! I never understand when a handicapped spot is far from an entrance. Surprisingly, I've experienced this. I have ME/CFS & POTS and I try to only park in handicapped when I am running really low on stamina & energy or it's hot (makes me weak), but sometimes a regular spot is closer...which kinda defeats the purpose of a handicapped spot being most convenient/accessible.
