  • I've had some requests to create videos on different training courses, many being the 2391-52.
My apologies for the delay in getting something started.
This video details the outcome requirements which your assessments are placed against. This is a video for the first outcome, the other outcomes will be up soon.

Hello Sparky Ninja, I wanted to ask some advice if you get a sec. I currently have 2392 qualification and due to work commitments, I find it impossible to take out a week to upgrade to 2391. I have taken 18th Edition Update course online with an assessment @ NICEIC centre which worked well. I am currently seeking an e-learning platform for the learning with a day at a local centre to take the exam / practical. Can you advise if you know of anything that would help me achieve this. Thank you in advance.

joe preece to make things interesting I have now done both City and Guilds 2391 and the EAL. Personally I think the EAL is slightly harder and in fact gives a better indication of an electrician knowledge of BS7671 as a whole and it's requirements for initial inspection and commissioning of electrical installations and the testing and inspection of existing installations. Breaking the course into two parts along with exams and the practical exams is in my opinion much better. It's interesting how many Electricians I have met over the years who have the 2391 and do not know the difference between commissioning and periodic testing. It's finally says it all when City and Guilds are now doing the course in two parts. 😁
